Hickey's Diner Truck, Flo's Diner in HO Scale
Look at that detail!! That's great, Darryl!
Those are some great models. Received your email yesterday. Looks like some really nice options for 2026. Mark
I purchased one as soon as he posted this. It's a wonderful model of a real diner from Taunton Massachusetts. I've had breakfast in there a few times. Sadly it's gone. Here''s a link to the a local newspaper -- the Taunton Gazette (https://www.tauntongazette.com/story/news/history/2022/01/10/restaurants-we-miss-hickeys-diner-taunton-massachusetts-diners/8987972002/).

Thanks for the kudo's folks. It was a great little model to design and build. I should have mentioned as Rich did that it is based on the prototype in Taunton. I got the idea from Dan Raymond a while back and it only took me a year and a half to git 'er dun!
Nice tiny diner. I've always lived within a few miles of US Rt. 1, which had many more in the era I'm modeling than it does now. But some remain.
Thanks for the comments folks. I am finding it amazing how many people (model Railroader) remember this diner in the real world. When I designed the kit, I had no idea it was such a landmark.
Well dang! Had these two been out a few months ago I would have added one (likely both) to my X-Mas wish list. :) Well, there's always Father's Day, Birthday and next X-Mas to ask for them. ;D
