Morning all,

Merry Christmas to all!

Older daughter's family arrives today, my son and younger daughter tomorrow.  We'll have a busy few days here.

Merry Christmas to all!

A couple weeks we went to the Winslow Homer watercolors exhibit at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts (MFA).  Wife said of one painting, "That would look good in the house", so I ordered a custom high resolution print along with frame, etc, and hung it up.  We'll see how long it takes before she notices the addition.  This is our game when visiting an art exhibit/museum, we discuss which painting we'll take home with us.

Merry Christmas morning, Jeff, Dave and later arrivals!  The lower Merrimack valley got a little more snow yesterday evening, but they forecast some sun and temperatures above freezing this afternoon.

Last night we walked next door to my daughter's house, my eldest son and his GF were there, my sister, second wife and her husband too.  A good time was had by all, particularly when we learned my daughter in law C-section was complete and all was well with mother and baby.

Today work on computers this morning, then the layout after lunch.

Merry Christmas all,

Opened our presents already. Wife gave me a few things from Inter-Action Hobbies. Junior gave me the flu.  :P

Have a great one!

I found a nice Monet a few years ago at the Chicago Art Institute but couldn't figure a safe way to take it off the wall! So I left it when security starting really watching me...

As good as those reproductions are, they often don't really 'work'.  They don't really have the texture of watercolor paper or of layers of thick oil paint.  My favorite painting in the MFA, "Boston Commons at Twilight", has a luminosity that even the $400 reproduction doesn't have.

Most of the art in our house are my wife's own paintings.  There ware a few exceptions, some framed posters from art museums, and now this Homer reproduction.  Plus a watercolor of a Kentucky railroad station I bought from the artist almost 50 years ago, before I met my wife.

Good morning and Merry Christmas to all. Quiet day here on the banks of the Merrimack. Some baked shrimp, baked potato, and asparagus  is on the menu later. Be safe all

Merry Christmas to all! A very quiet morning here, no trucks or car noise. Unusual.

Have a great Christmas!

Just settling in at home after a nice afternoon at a daughter and son in law's for a terrific meal and a terrible football game. The depleted Lionsended their season a week early rolling over and playing dead for the Vikings also nearly depleted.

My older son stopped by with his mother briefly to offer his regrets for missing out on the meal. Thought it was tomorrow  :(.
I spoke with my other son by phone. Called my brother earlier today as well.

Weather was nice, if drab, no snow. The ice storm is coming after midnight. The days are longer now 2-3 seconds per day  ;D

Best to you all.
