Morning all,

Seven below presently with a high of four above predicted.  A mild heat wave compared to yesterday.

Will hopefully continue working on the challenge kit today.

Good Morning Jeff and everyone that follows;

I have my coffee and catching up on the news before putting together a new TV stand we bought from Amazon. We are in one of the few spots of US where the storm is not going to be, Florida. Currently 55 with a sunny high of 77, great time if you planned your vacation to the state at this time.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Jim

Morning all.  No Springfield for me this year as my mother's care takes precedent. I plan on on poking around the bench most of the weekend seeing where my work week won't start until Wednesday. Just over 100 days till retirement, I'm burning up time at this point. I did get to stop by the F&SM yesterday for a quick visit. George has had pretty good crowds the past 2 days. Raymo

Raymo, good to see you and I hope all is well with mom. Nice FSM photo.

I'm working in the train shed today and on the Winter Challenge.

Have a great day ya'll.

-18At first peak this morning, but we do have sunshining,  8)

It was -2 when we made an unscheduled, to me, trip out yesterday afternoon.

Been building trestle bents and watching hoops, Michigan State SPARTY at noon today.  It's actually on a tv provider we can watch, (CBS) ::)  Watching the A2 rodents beat ohio does any MI resident proud, quite a team.

Back to the bench is about it for today, as far as I know.  ::)

Be well, SE folks hang on.  Feeling for you.

Morning all,

Great pictures this morning. 8)

The countdown to retirement is exciting Dan. Jeff is getting close as well. I sure haven't missed working one bit.  :)

The past two days I'm made some minor progress on the current build that's cluttering up the workbench. I hope to do some more this afternoon. I need to push past this so I can free up the workbench and start on something new.

Morning everyone

It's a sunny/16 here in South Jersey.
We are just waiting on the storm being ice or snow because the "Weather Weenies" have no idea!!
Be a good day to sit at the bench.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Probably too late for most of the Forum members, but I'm in my hotel room after a mixed in-person/on-line B&M Modeler's Get-Together. It used Google Meet, whose user interface design is better than Zoom's, though because it works through the browser, it might not have as much capacity as Zoom.  Regardless, we learned a lot about the HO scale 3D-printed Zephyr relative "Flying Yankee", and 3D printing the predecessor diesel powered RPO-Baggage #1140. Also a presentation on a Barre & Chelsea bridge, modeling a 1930s passenger train mixing equipment from B&M and NY,NH&H, and a rebuild of a major B&M yard around 1980.

A fair number of tables at the Big E show were packing up at the end of the day.  I'm sharing Flying Yankee Assoc. duties with another member, who lives closer to our next show and will take our table dressing, computer monitor etc. home instead of me.  When we pack up will depend on our visitors.  I wouldn't mind leaving early enough I get home in daylight.
