Morning all,
February! After that long, very cold January, hopefully this month will be warmer. It will be shorter, and hopefully seem so.
We're starting off in double digits today for the first time in what seems like forever, headed to a high of twenty five with a slight chance of snow.
Hopefully some work on the kit today. I did get the trim repainted so it looks like installing the window glass is next on the agenda.

Good morning from the NH Seacoast, Jeff and later arrivals. Cloudy bright and about 7F here now, but it's warmed a bit since sunrise. I already tended the barn cat & chickens. One chicken got pecked till she bled last week and there's way too much snow to do more than open their window/door. I've been making sure food is available soon after they start moving around. That seems to have kept chicken politics bloodless.
We drove to Hobby Emporium in Tyngsboro yesterday for more 1.3mm spacing clapboard (.050" but my wife's life was metric before she came here, and my college was/is metric). I'll post some pictures of her house later; walls were almost complete Saturday evening.
Still cold in MI, -5o at 0800 and now it's coming up some. -3 at 0930. The sky is totally cloudless and bright 8) with negligible wind. Probably feel like spring out there....yeh right.. :o
Had a great time at OPS yesterday, the new loco, C-415 performed quite well. It was well received by the crew. I had a local servicing a large industrial area that took me much of the afternoon as it had several off spot cars as well as the train was several cars longer than available run around tracks. I managed to stay out of the way most all day.
Looking forward to seeing your wife's Metric Magic! James! Boy I get brain freeze when there is much talk about numbers, just using a digital device, caliper, vs fractions can put me in a dither. Everything goes into neutral and the fingers and toes get a work out. My favorite measurements are "about" and "purtenear" and I'm becoming much more dependent on Spell Check in the verbal world, too.
Today? Hmm..we'll see.

Like Greg mentioned it's cold outside. My irrigation system ran early this morning, leaving icicles all over some of the plants. I checked the outside faucets, etc. for damage and found that a shower head froze and popped off. Yeah, there's an outdoor shower on the back wall of the house. I rarely use it though it does, sometimes, come in handy when I'm doing yard work and get overheated in the summer.

I think Raymo knows that spot as well. You can get some great overhead shots there and there's usually some activity going on.

Morning while it still is.. Just getting to sit down for a bit after my Sunday morning routine. Spent some time at the bench yesterday working on a Fos Kit of the Month. Yes Bob, I've been there. Great for overhead shots..
I had never railfanned on the ground in the Harrisburg area until I took the kid to tour colleges nearby. I made my first visits to Strasburg and Orbisonia in the process. He got accepted early decision by one, so I hope to have more time around Enola, Altoona etc. in the future. I just wish I'd been able to do it before Conrail ended electric freight operations.

THE THING to do in the Harrisburg area is a trick at Harris Tower: https://www.harrisburgnrhs.org/visit They have a simulation set up where you operate the interlocking machine in response to what you see on the Big Board.

Happy Sunday everyone! Woke up to another power outage on the mountain. So glad we have a standby generator so we can still enjoy our morning coffee and crumpets. BC Hydro needs to up their game on patrolling the right aways for over grown trees. We seem to be averaging an outage every month. It really sucks with I have the 3D printer farm running overnight.
