Title: Parts Bins... and filling them with stuff!
Post by: Rail and Tie on February 10, 2026, 10:18:51 PM
Here is a short tutorial on building our Interaction Hobbies Parts Bins in O scale. The HO ones are the same, just smaller...
...with smaller clutter to put in each one of those tiny cubby holes!

Thanks guys, they are really quite fun to assemble and fill with stuff. Dave, I probably had these done back when you were developing the machine shop, but took me this long to get them done and on the site!  So many kits to design, so little time!

If you want to do a commonly seen variant, tilt-front bins were apparently quite common in both shops and grocery stores:

In grocery stores, they were used for things like potatoes (and obviously a bit more decorative than this industrial version.)

I thought about trying to make something like this for the machine shop, but decided that was too much work.
