8) Friday in the sun here this morning.
What a barn burner for SPARTY last night at Purdue. Came back from an early deficit to put the lead in play back and forth for the rest of the game. Quite a raucous crowd kept it exciting to watch. Our first win there in 14 years.
Headed out to Menards for a carry case for model locomotives. The most recent I've picked up have pretty packaging that is not transport friendly.
Hash browns eggs and toast and conjure yourself a drink. Sorry, no Scotch here today. Just a plebeian not accustomed to the hard stuff.
Be well all.

More maple sugar weather in SE NH. Low of 13, high of 38. It might hit 50 tomorrow, but still below freezing nights and that makes the sap run.
I did a fair amount of pick-up/put-away yesterday, but still have A LOT more to do. Then I'll either start a boxcar kit, or work on the farm scenery. Probably the latter, unless I get frustrated :o

Good morning, Karl, Dave and later arrivals. I set a pitcher of whole milk on the counter for those who enjoy it, next to a basket of Cortlands (still good from an orchard closer to Dave) and a basket of tangerines. Bright sun was on my windows at 0630. One egg. My wife drove the kid to school b/c that town hasn't finished clearing and parking is only one side of the street. A neighbor showed up with cattle feed and he and I figured out how to get the battery out of my Mahindra. About 15 minutes but not in the Operator's Manual.
I'll look over the Forum next.
Good Morning, All!! It's 38, headed for 45 here in the northern mitten, with actual sunshine making shadows on the snow!! There's hope!!
In other news, I'm recuperating from emergency gall bladder surgery three weeks ago or so, and I'm glad to be alive. Don't mess with that stuff! Just Do it!! The call from the masseuse, who didn't like what she was seeing (I apparently wasn't "me"), literally saved my life, and I am eternally grateful for her making that call. The hospital admitted me immediately and the surgeon pulled the gall bladder within 48 hours. Found out a couple of days later that it was dead, infected and showing signs of coming apart. Had it burst, it would have spread gangrene and who knows what else all over my insides, and that would have meant Sepsis and Game Over. So we were Just in Time....
PSA: If you have a stomach ache and pain in the lower right front, head for the ER Right Now!!
Best wishes to all! Stay safe!

Morning all,
Headed to 62 today. Great, but a couple of days ago they were promising 72. Liars!
Glad to hear you're on the mend, Pete. A similar issue was fatal to my brother in law when he was about 50 years old. He ignored it too long.
Here a late start, slept late after working yesterday. The twelve hour shifts are quite tiring. Fortunately, only four left.
We'll see what trouble I can get into today.
Jeff
Wow, Pete! Glad you dodged that bullet! Welcome back.

Good news on the NOT so good news, Pete. Had Gall bladder deal about 15 yrs ago, not as acute as you, old knife wielder did have issues with partial tearing of the thing during removal. Recovery was slow. So glad to hear you were taken care of. Masseuse is an angel. It has looked like the weather has been horrendous up there in the upper tier of the mitten. I know we've delayed any thought of heading to our little piece by the cedar swamp, every time I look at the Mac Cam I shudder. Up coming health maintenance appointments will delay anything for maybe 6 weeks.
1 pm and it's exceeded 50o here in the lower portion of the mitten with sun, still 8)
Be well.

Pete I'm glad everything worked out for you.
Afternoon all.....
Afternoon all,
Pete, glad to hear you're recovering well from a scary event.
Finally got back to my morning walks this week after about a month and a half of flu, cold weather and a cold.
Think I'll organize some parts for priming next.
Have a great one!
Many thanks to all for the good wishes!! Recovery is happening, and that's Good....
Stay safe!
