Morning all,
Cloudy with possible rain, high of 47 today.
My brother is coming over today as he's dog sitting for his son who lives not far from here (my brother lives an hour away). Need to clean up and run the layout in case he wants to see it.

Dueling lounges this morning... The plumber just left, replaced the pump in the basement up-flushing system. I'm pleasantly surprised the house doesn't reek of sewer gas. Of course, I haven't gotten the bill yet.
So back to the train room...
A question for Reading Bob: When did Reading stop using their 4-wheel bobber caboose? Did they make it into the diesel era?

Darn you Dave!
I tried to retrieve my Cabooses of the Reading book in the basement and discovered or for the first time really saw what a disaster area it is! Thanks for the prod. I'll keep looking for the book.
As an embarrassed member of te Reading Company Technical and Historical I can't give you an off the top of the head date but will get you one if Reading Bob doesn't check the site today.

Afternoon all.....
Good afternoon, Jeff, Dave, Chip and Greg. The Merrimack Valley has collected 2-3 inches of fluffy snow over the last few hours, with a change to rain forecast in early evening. So if I can hit it just at the "wet sleet" stage, I can scrape the driveways quickly and let warm days the rest of the week finish the job. Going out in a bit for Tuesday dinner with friends, this time in a not-Mexican restaurant.
My only model railroad activity today was agreeing to do my Scratchbuilding in Styrene clinic for the HUB Division on the 14th. More is unlikely; I'm taking minutes for a Flying Yankee Board meeting after dinner.
Evening all,
Dave, I'm not sure when the 4 wheel bobber cabooses were taken out of service. I have the Reading Caboose book Chip mentioned but I'm not sure where I put it at the moment.
Not much got done around here today other than some yard work. I'm in detail painting mode (can't say detail casting because these are all 3D printed details). I think this will keep me busy for a few days, minimum, given I have 8 figures to paint and figure painting isn't one of my strengths. :)
Have a great one!
