Title: A Frisco Boxcar (HO Scale, Kadee PS-1 repaint/redecal)
Post by: Yannis on March 08, 2026, 02:46:29 PM
Hello everyone,

An older project of mine, based on a Kadee PS-1 diagram car that had all paint removed and has been repainted and re-decaled to represent an SLSF prototype. Painting as usual using Gunze/Tamiya paints (and alclad for the roof). Decals Microscale, weathering using enamels from AK/Mig and oil paints. Weathering on the roof, courtesy of salt weathering. I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

Almost finished car... You can see that aggressive sanding took away the raised panel lines on the car sides...FriscoBX12.jpg

Roof looks nice though...FriscoBX11.jpg

Howdy Yannis,

The boxcar is amazing.  Excellent work on the roof and weathering.

Have fun,

Great work.  Especially the roof.
