Title: March 17, 2026. St. Pat's
Post by: Zephyrus52246 on March 17, 2026, 08:02:49 AM
Morning all,

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  It's a cold one here, seven degrees headed to 21.  More snow tonight, but maybe only an inch.  It was cold yesterday when I used the blower to clear the my and the neighbor's walks.  Unfortunately, it's all ice underneath.  Most of that melted, but at the driveways I'll put some salt out today.  At least it will thaw tomorrow.
Can't complain much, my son in Wisconsin got over two feet of snow.

Finished the gondola and the stock car, but the stock car derails, need to check the trucks.

Doctor Jeff,
Your photos this morning make me green with envy.
That's no blarney, either.
Back in Boston I had a CPA friend whose first activity on March 17th was to donate a pint of blood. His logic was it was good to start the day with room for celebration in his veins.
Enjoy the day, readers

Well, I'm here late.  I had a cataract evaluation (measurements) appointment first thing today.  I see the doctor Friday.  I did this evaluation last year and "flunked", he said "Yours aren't bad enough to medically justify the surgery, and Medicare is watching this pretty closely."  But a year later, I have a lot more symptoms, so I'm expecting he'll schedule surgeries (one for each eye) on Friday.

Back to the train room in a bit, I'll reassemble the boxcar (trucks and couplers) and think about applying the decals.  I'm still mad at myself for the mistakes I made assembling this.

I live in north central Wisconsin. Not far from where Tom O formerly lived. We had 30.7 inches. Gave the Husqvarna a good work out. Really looking forward to Spring, but with all the snow on the ground it's going to be awhile. There's only one place to be- the basement.
