Morning all,
A light dusting of snow overnight, but a high of 47 later will start melting it all.
A trip to Costco and the grocery store on tap for this morning.
The stock car derailing wasn't due to the car, there was a track issue. Oddly the other three new rolling stock additions had no issue. Will run the stock car around the layout to see if there are any more surprises.

Morning Jeff and crew.
That structure looks close to the one I'll be building for my quarry line. It was featured in Model Railroader many years ago. Looking into possibly animating loading the bunker and then dumping into the quarry cars. Here's two pictures of that building.

I'm using the articles building dimensions to build my version for rail loading.

Greetings from still cloudy, cold, low 20s, Michigan. We have light snow moving in from West to East. A bit less wind than yesterday.
Report from our local eyes in the UP, Manistique, our closest town 7 road miles, had 26" of snow but the wind caused considerable drifting. The Southern tier of the UP gets much less snow on an average than closer to Lake Superior. I've heard it referred to as the Banana Belt. This event of the last few days will temper that a bit. The road maintainer in our private area said he started clearing the roadway at daybreak and wrapped up after dark.
Layout today? We'll see. The stone facilities are intriquing. Jeff and Bernd, thanks for them.

Morning all.....
Afternoon all,
Nice photo Jeff.
Bernd, your rock quarry will be a masterpiece I'm sure.
Working in the train shed today.
Have a great day ya'll.

Good afternoon, Jeff, Bernd, Karl, Greg, Tom and afternoon passers-by. Nice rock loader, Jeff. The sun is making shadows through a thin overcast over the Merrimack Valley and it's warmed from a little below freezing to a little above. I'm doing reports for two preservation groups after yesterday's 1:1 railroad work. My back got through it OK but my left hand is sore...
