Morning all,
On my 16th birthday, 54 years plus ago, I went and got my driver's license and put in job applications. Three days later I'm working as a stockboy in a Target-like store. I've done that, been a pharmacy intern, pharmacist, medical resident, family physician and finally urgent care physician. Yesterday was the end of the trail for all that. Finally retired. Didn't think I'd be working to 70, but at least it's over. Thank the Maker.
Seventy five degrees later, but rain in the forecast as well.
Only plan for the day is watching the Red Sox opening day. Go Sox!
Jeff
Congratulations on your retirement Jeff.
Congrats on retirement, (former) Dr Jeff!
It's rainy here, currently a chilly 44 but heading to 67 they say. There's a geology talk at UNH I'll go listen to this afternoon, otherwise, some putzing on scenery around the farm.

Congratulations, Dr. Jeff!
Many happy years of chill and relaxed afternoons watching the Sox.
Sun and 50 in MI but T-storms, hail and unpleasantness are forecast for later.
Layout time later is a strong possibility.
Be well all, Stay Safe
Welcome to the 'Everyday is Saturday club' Jeff, well earned. Only thing I have an issue with is I am a Tampa Bay Rays fan. You can thank George Steinbrenner for that, when the Rays were formed George was the mover behind the scenes. He wanted them in the Eastern Division because he saw them as a doormat for years to come. He was right, then we were not! The Rays may be the strangest set up team in the eleague, more of a Triple A+ team. They bring kids up into majors far faster than others would, kids become stars and then off they go to Detroit, Boston or out west. Next year we reload and do it all over again. Best farm club in the league, lowest payroll.
As for myself I plan to do some drawing for my pickle factory project. I think I understand the process and history enough now to begin the building design. This facility will be wood, 3D parts and some plastic styrene. I hope to put an interior in it as building should be big enough for a peek inside. It will take up rest of canal seane on my layout and lead to a rail bridge eventually.
Well have a great day.
Jim
Morning all and great run Jeff, hope your retirement is full of good things and a lot of fun..... ;D
Congratulations Jeff. Sit back and enjoy life after all those years of work.

Congrats oon the milestone Jeff, BUT,
my late fater-in-law was a mannufacturers rep in New England. He thought nothing of wakening in west suburban Boston (Needham) driving to Bath, Maine and be home for dinner.
HEesaid after retirement he was busier than when he was employed. Don't let the same thing happen to you.
Congratulations Dr. Jeff! Welcome to the 6 Saturdays world. I'm expecting great progress on your layout now.

Congratulations on your retirement Dr Jeff. Hope to see you at the NNGC so we can compare notes. I've also just entered retirement and it's an exciting but daunting prospect. I'm still recalibrating myself so I wish you the best...just keep moving!
John
Congratulations Jeff. It's good to be a member of the "Everyday is Saturday except Sunday Club".
