Title: Under bridge detailing
Post by: Deem on April 04, 2026, 02:20:44 AM
I made the steel plate guards from paper. The boards are basswood. This is from under a bridge on the  estuary (tide out) section of my layout.

I grew up with 6 foot tides, I always find the Fundy shoreline interesting because it's so different.l

Thanks,Dave. I think I used some of my wife's Rub n Buff on the paper. I can't recall what other mediums I used on the paper, as I was just winging it at the time.

Here are some shots of it in its infancy.

It took a lot of precise measuring so it would fit in the cavity for it.
