Barely above freezing here, headed to 48 degrees (9 C).
Need to find a kit to work on as I contemplate how to do the backdrops on the layout.

Sun 8) and COLD upper 20s going to stretch up close to 40 today. Had snow yesterday but not any stuck.
Basketball is over with the winners proving all you need is money. The whole starting lineup were bought off the internet or rather the "Portal" for millions of dollars. Fine tradition of student athletes bah...
Ran over to GrdRapids for some of the Doll's custom ground Decaf Michigan Maple coffee and then stopped at the LHS and dropped $80 on a small bunch of bits & pieces, 2 kinds of knife blades, #2 and flat edge, 2 bottles of Tamiya green.
I Bought some Woodland Scenics Scenic Cement as seen on "What's neat" as well as a WS spray bottle. Tried it, t'ain't neat. Runny and messy. Back to my home brew, fine spray wet water, Elmer's diluted with water and dish soap in a drip bottle is much easier, for me, to contain where you use it.
Layout time today. The majority of the water is gone in front. :o

Karl, I attended a scenery clinic by Jim Elster, Scenic Express. He recommends Elmer's White SCHOOL Glue for scenery. That stuff is water soluble and also apparently has a bit better tack than the more conventional Elmer's White Glue.

Good morning, Jeff, Dave, Greg, Karl and those who look in later. Karl, I don't think I've ever sprayed adhesive directly on my scenery. It's always seemed the inconvenience of cleaning overspray would outweigh the speed. I apply diluted yellow glue with a brush occasionally.
It's snowing big fat flakes on my thawed-out driveway and lawn, but with the air at 35F and a forecast high of 44F, I don't expect to see a trace tomorrow morning. Prompted by a question from Deem, I spent the last hour looking at my digital photos from Maritime Federation of Model Railroaders and NMRA Eastern Canada Division events. Tax filing next, including a trip across the Merrimack after lunch.

Evening all,
I managed a little workbench time this afternoon. I'm finally ready to move past the painting details phase and start working on the shed.
I use the same method Karl described for my scenery. I may have to try the glue Dave suggested though. If I remember to. ::)
