Morning all,

Headed to 80 F today (27 C) today.  No rain in the forecast for the first time in a few days.

Yesterday had online meeting with investment folks to transfer my retirement accounts to my IRA.  They noted that the company had not yet listed me as retired.   :o  I called HR and they said it can take up to FIVE WEEKS for that.  I asked if they could expedite it and it was fixed later in the day.  Now will need another appointment with the accounts folks.

Trip to Costco later to pick up new glasses.  Probably a walk later today as well.

Finished one of the kits, we'll see if I can get the other done today.

It was always a competition between HR and IT for "part of the company I hate the most."  For HR, it was just gross incompetence.  For IT, it was a combination of incompetence and policies that optimized their convenience over my productivity.

It's generally A Good Thing to get money out of corporate retirement plans and into an IRA.  Company plans often have both higher fees and limited choices.

I'm off to the Apple Store, to get them to clean out the USB port.  They have particular tools & training for that (or at least they did a couple years ago when I had a clogged Lightning port.)  Then I'll stop by the plastics dealer to see if they happen to have .040 sheet, and I'll probably grab lunch before heading back home.

Afternoon all,

My last employer renamed Human Resources "The People Office". Didn't,make anything better from what I saw.  ;D

After the yard work yesterday I was hurting so, my workbench time ended up being very minimal. Maybe I can do better today.

Have a great one!

Well, bummer.  I went to the local plastics distributor to see if I could buy a sheet of 4x8 x .040 styrene.  They'd be happy to sell me a palette of sheets....
