Title: Saturday, April 18, 2026

Morning all,

Much cooler today with a high in the low 50s.  We missed most of the bad storms yesterday.

Termite guy said the issue looks like ants, not termites, so that was good news.  Had a lawn care guy come by as we have a lot of dead spots in the lawn.   He thinks it's "summer patch" and now we have a new lawn care guy with an attack plan.  The guy we've used for years had no idea what the issue was, and was hard to get a hold of (it took several emails and calls for him to look and we're still waiting on his estimate 2 weeks out), so we'll be letting him go.

Here's a cool early "bookmobile" from a car show my brother and I went to a few weeks ago.

Morning all,

Mice picture Jeff.

CEO Jim Donovan and 3-4 additional railroad modelers are driving down from the Villages to visit the A&S RR and meet the SBG group. Curt and Greg are stopping by to meet the northern crew. Don't know about Cuse or Reading Bob. The Judge sends his regrets, he is still rehabing.

We'll definitely have a great time and of course BSing to go with all the chatter. Lunch at our normal Saturday watering hole where the BS will most likely continue.

I'll get some photos.

Have a great day ya'll.

Tom

Good Morning Folks;

Yep as Tom said I have a group of local modelers joining me to visit Tom, the gang down their and of course his amazing layout. We will definitely have a good time.

Today is another sunny day with the heat starting to slide into the picture. Oh well springs are short in Florida. Jeff thanks for the photo, hope everyone has a great day!

Jim

Sun here in Michigan, too.  SOMEwhere way above the rain clouds.  Another vocifierous storm overnight has left more and more water where ever it wants to be.  Old time home improvement guy on the radio, (remember radio shows), used to use the line "WATER WINS" especially this time of year.  Water and road damage have been catastrophic in our area, ours is one of a couple dozen counties included in Gov. Gretch's Emergency Declaration.  Roads damaged and flooding in areas. A small dam washed out in NE part of the lower peninsula and a whole lake has disappeared. :o  After the 2 am weather our temps are plunging thru out today with frost and that damned "S" word sneaking around tomorrow's shadows. :-\ Was 75o yesterday.  50o currently. 0915hrs

Doing a DCC install today.  :o

You FL boys enjoy the day.  ;D

Morning all,

I'm missing the big gathering at the A&S this morning. I'm still hindered, a bit, by this hip/back issue. X-rays are scheduled for Thursday morning so maybe we'll figure out what the issue is.

Yesterday's workbench session ended with a tiny part escaping my tweezers and getting lost in the clutter on my workbench. After an extensive search and partial cleaning I was lucky enough to find it.

Have a great one!

Bob best wishes. Hopefully it's just a muscle pull.

Evening all,

We missed you today Bob. Is the hip/back issue due to your yard work or something else?

Either way, I wish you a great X-ray and only be sore muscles.

Thanks Curt and Tom,

I'm not sure what triggered my issue but it's been going on for four or five weeks now. Could be arthritis, bursitis, etc. General, but not too bad, aching in the hip combined with sharp spasms in the front and/or back at times. I'm walking like an old man all of the sudden.  :(
