Title: Sunday, May 17, 2026
Post by: Zephyrus52246 on May 17, 2026, 08:03:57 AM
Morning all,

Raining presently and headed to 85 F later.  Humid as well.

Managed a 4.5 mile walk yesterday, at less than 20 minutes per mile.  I sound like a piker next to Rick's hikes but my endurance is increasing.  Did some minor clean up in the garage and hauled the umbrella out to the deck as well.  I might power wash the garage today if I get enough gumption.

Also washed off the backdrop areas in anticipation of painting the tops as hopefully the printed ones get here later this week.

Watched an actual Red Sox win last night.  They managed 3 whole runs!

Good morning, Jeff and later arrivals. I walked about 4.5 miles yesterday, mostly the length of the Trolley Museum's main line marking ties for replacement. Then an idiosyncratic BBQ place and ice cream for dessert across the nearby state line.

Sunny and 70F in the lower Merrimack Valley, headed for 83F.  Still have some storm windows on, so removing and storing them is today's primary chore. Kid is off attempting Mt. Washington with friends, then a turkey dinner in Meredith NH on his way home.

Goodmorning;

Humidity up so might rain this afternoon but will be warm for sure, summer in Florida has arrived. I walked at least 4.5 feet yesterday in less than 30 minutes, does that count? My daughter and son-in-law took us to lunch and Deb got her Mother's day gift, a really nice day.

Today not sure but looks like a great day to sit in the pool. Have a great day.

Morning all,

Jim, your walk yesterday beat mine. :D

Not too much on the agenda today. I might go to Best Buy to look at a replacement for an old, really lousy, tablet I keep in the bedroom. Other than that, workbench time might be in order.

Have a great one!

You didn't completely obscure the road name, at least when viewed on my big display.  I've wondered about that since I first saw a photo (not that exact one, IIRC). Guessing, that Wooten firebox wound up that far from an anthracite mine via some side effect of a coal pocket (for unloading seagoing colliers or barges into) deal.
