Title: Saturday-Rain and chill
Post by: KentuckySouthern on May 23, 2026, 09:41:19 AM
Rain and grey in Michigan

We're getting a good soak today, a great day to roll over and hide. But my GI Doc/P A, canx my appt next Wednesday for unknown conflict and offered me a noon appointment today so I'm getting ready and headed out that way.

Bench time is planned when I return.

We had a nice wandering day yesterday for the Doll's XXXth birthday. Sunny but cool.

Our daughter and granddaughter drove up to the cedar swamp and put a once over on the bunker at Northern Command finding things in good shape and fit. It was quite chilly there. We hope to go up soon.

I hope everyone is having a great day. Be well.

It's cool and sunny here.  Low this morning was 44, heading to 64.  Sunny with some light hazy clouds/filtering.  I think Eye #1 is pretty much doing its thing.  Tuesday, I'll call the Dr office and see if they have an earlier opening to do Eye #2.

We're supposed to get some rain late tomorrow into Monday.  Too bad for the Memorial Day holiday-goers, but we need the rain.  We're doing 'no-mow May' (in part because Wife hasn't scheduled the yard service yet), but that's OK.  Once we get our first mow, I'll try to generate the energy/desire to put an application of fertilizer on the yard.  I tend to go low-effort on that (unlike some neighbors), but I do want the grass to grow (slowly...)

Fortunately, doing pick-up/put-away doesn't require close 20-20 vision, so that's today's train room project.   :-X

Afternoon all,

Warm, humid and a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon/evening here.

Just got back from a grocery store run. Tonight is game night so, other than mentally, nothing model railroad related will get done today.

Have a great one!
