Morning all,
A bit cooler with a high in the upper 80s today.
Thanks for the good wishes on the knee. It did feel pretty good yesterday and no issues yet this morning.
I put numbers on the east yard tracks and power switches yesterday as we had some train overflow from our last session.
Fixed the coupler issue on the F3s, but when moving them around had quite the derailment. I had forgotten a train on the mainline and the unattended F3s ran into it at full speed. I haven't had a car hit the floor in years, but a gondola took the plunge. It can probably be repaired, but not today as the grandson will be over later to run them all again.

Good Morning Jeff aand the rest of the gang;
My better half and I are going out o the movies today and the local steak restaurant so a very nice day on tap. We have overcast which will keep the temps down a little as well. Hope everyone has a great day.
Jim
It's breezy in SE NH, and we had a dead pine fall down in the back yard. Now I need to find someone with a chainsaw to cut it up and remove it.
Yesterday I did some 'forestation' and posted on my build thread. Today I'll look at the result, and then probably organize stuff to do "production scale" activities this week. But at 3:00, I'll stop for the World Cup. I didn't watch yesterday's game (but had a running discussion with a friend who did watch.) The only thing I got right in my prediction was that France would score 4 goals. (I was predicting France 4-2 England.) My prediction for today is Spain 1-0 Argentina. My alternate prediction is Argentina 3-1 Spain. It all depends on whether Spain can shut down Messi.

Smoke is back... :'( after a relatively pleasant, if hot, day yesterday. Will stick close to inside much of the day but need to put some efforts toward finding and removing a SOB groundhog digging like crazy.
Morning all,
Guess I'll do another round of the physical therapy exercises after I post this. I did my first round yesterday. Not too bad other than getting down on the floor. I'm like a turtle on its back when I'm on the floor. :P
Not much else on the agenda for today. I have no plans on leaving the house the rest of the day so maybe I'll get something done. Maybe. ::)
Have a great one!
Good afternoon, all. Metro Boston got up to the mid-80s on the highways, a couple of degrees cooler on byways and quite nice at Waushakum, in a low-lying patch of woods. The usual source of corn on the cob provided it in crates this year, making me wonder if it was from away, but it was fresh and tasty; A good start to the season. On the way home we stopped at the Bedford (MA) Depot Park to see the family of a late HUB member. He and his wife were involved in getting the park started, restoring the passenger and freight stations and bringing B&M RDC-2 6211 to the site. I'd followed their progress but never visited it till now. I talked to his sons and grandsons, who all picked up an interest in model railroading from him, and was pleasantly surprised to see the 6211's restored interior - just like I remember from the late 60s.
