Good morning.  No bench time yesterday for me, as yard care was the priority. Low humidity will allow me to get some painting done today.

Howdy!

It's Payday Friday!!! I love it!

Here is a pair of Jordan stake truck kits I put together a while back. These are a lot of fun once you've endured the trial of your first few  :D

I've put together about 20 or so Jordan kits of various vehicles. I still struggle with getting the steering wheel done right.

Later.

I like the white one. White was a common color with trucks of this vintage but no one ever models it.

Nice Jordans, they hold up well in detail on the big monitor!

Worked on a decal job yesterday, painted some scenic details and stayed in most of the day.

Early yet for today. :-*

Morning all,

Great job on the Jordans, Jaime.  Raymo, that same Northern Pacific reefer is sitting on my work area getting put together.

Raining presently with a high of 79 later.

The replacement parts for the door arrived yesterday, so putting that up is on the agenda for today.

Looks like a nice weekend here in SE NH, might get some rain Sunday.  Windows are open, and the fresh dry air feels good.

Some more 'shrubberies' arrived last night, so I can get back to work on the line of trees along the backdrop.  And I'll continue working on the rock faces I started earlier this week.

Thanks.

I often struggle with color choices for these. It helps a great deal when the kit manufacturer includes painting guidance. Whenever I do an internet search for these old vehicles most of the results are of model railroad kits 😂

A visit to Mark's hometown by a travel writer:  https://www.elliott.org/destinations/in-queenstown-tourism-sustainability-comes-down-to-earth.   (of course, model railroaders have been 'recycling and repurposing' stuff for A Long Time....)

Morning all,

back from our little anniversary getaway to Tampa. We enjoyed some great meals, saw the Banksy exhibit, and strolled Ybor City...now, I find myself with huge blisters on my feet (from bad shoes) and, suddenly, what looks like a torn bicep/shoulder tie-in(?)...I woke up and found a painless but massive bruising on my right bicep - that's generally indicative of a significant tear under there somewhere. My HMO says I have to go to the family doc, who will undoubtedly send me to the ortho and/or imaging in between...Bummer of a nuisance, but could be a lot worse of course. ;D...should make for a productive model train weekend as I can't do all of the fitness stuff I'd normally tie myself up with...NNGC in a few weeks and then we've got a 20-day Malta/Italy trip in October, so any surgical thoughts will, hopefully, be held off as I'm not feeling any pain or even limitations yet...I did a pull up just to see, but I won't be pushing my luck.

Hope you're all healthy & productive today...go on ahead, I'll catch up in a bit  ;)

Afternoon all,

Nice job on those vehicles. Yeah, the steering wheels are a bugger on those.  :o

I have most of my chores done for the day as well as my PT routine. A little lunch and then some workbench time.

Have a great one!
