Title: Sunday August 16, 2026
Post by: NEMMRRC on August 16, 2026, 06:40:17 AM
Howdy!

August of 2026 is half over. Where does the time go?!

Here are some more of the Jordan Highway Miniatures kits I've built in the past. I did not build these for myself. Although, I wish I had built that 1940's City Transit Bus for myself. Out of all the kits I have built for someone else, that bus is the one I am most proud of. Perhaps it is because I like the looks of the bus or maybe because how the paint job ended up. I would build a fleet for myself but my plans are to set my layout in 1935. Therefore, those 1940's buses would not fit in. Who knows?! I may change my mind,

Regardless, these kits really build up into some cool models.

Enjoy your day of rest.

Morning all,

Jaime, you're right about the bus, it looks great, as do the others.

High of 83 today, but still very humid (100% this morning).  After mowing yesterday I had to clean up some broken branches and I was soaking wet by the time the job was finished.

Finished a couple more cars yesterday.  Remembered how to apply decals as one needed numbers/end marks, which turned out well.

I'm much more sensitive to humidity than temperature.  I'd probably die in "83 with 100% humidity"...  Fortunately, it's 67 at 10:00 heading to 78, dew point is 57.

Wife is making waffles for brunch, so I'll head down to the train room afterwards.  I'll check the Sculptamold 'shelf' I added against the backdrop to hold the trees in front of the backdrop, and generally continue the scenery work along the back edge.  I also need to do more work on the exposed rock I did in '3 bridges creek', in the same part of the layout.

The good news is that loose wire in the LED strips seems to have fixed the blinking problem!

Slept long, little of Greg's Morningleft.

Nice vehicles, Jaime.  I think I might "time warp" to include one of those buses adn invoke Rule #1 to any naysayers.

Afternoon all,

Great looking vehicles, Jamie.

I have a batch of 3d printed figures from FOS I'm just getting started on. I really need to work on my figure painting skills.  :P

Have a great one!

Good  afternoon all. That's a great looking bus Jaime, I found one today at the show for 6 bucks. I also picked up a Jordan American Lafrance fire engine  for 3 bucks and 2 Sheepscot trailers for 10. Lots of Craftsman kits there today but nothing followed me home. I also remembered 2 other circus kits from Jordan, the calliope truck and the popcorn wagon. Someone took the popcorn wagon and mated it to a Model A chassis and it is on the F&SM. That's it at the gas station.

Glad to learn you found some bargains at the show. We've got a regional NMRA show here in town later in October. Maybe I'll get lucky.
