Howdy.
The weekend is winding down.
Back in 2014 we took a train ride in Alaska as part of a cruise. The train was waiting for us right where the cruise ship docked. It was a a fun excursion.
Later.
Morning all,
Jaime, did you also take the train to Denali? That's the only cruise I'd think of taking. My wife was on one to the Caribbean and wasn't impressed.
Woke up at 0415 and couldn't get back to sleep. I'll try to get through the day somehow. Irritating issue with Medicare that I spent an hour on yesterday and my wife's is screwed up as well. Will try to figure that out today.
Two more views of the Red Bull P-38 Lightning.
Jeff
Good morning, Jaime, Jeff and later risers. The White Pass & Yukon is a ride I plan to prioritize; Not riding the Pacific Great Eastern in its province-owned years is a regret. Jeff, I saw a lot of P-38 photos in my father's WWII books and magazines (he'd worked on Recognition Journal). But I think chrome propeller blades are a bit much.
My wife (mostly) and I made a lot of progress on my late friend's RR and trolley books yesterday, now I have to transcribe the list and try to get them into good hands. Gems included original blueprints for the MBTA "Southwest Corridor" project, B&M track diagrams and Boston streetcar and rapid transit plans.
Grey and rain, much needed, here in Michigan this morning. Under an inch but will continue until afternoon. It cancelled semi whimsical plans to take the Doll over to an outdoor antique/old crap show at the fairgrounds on the W side of the state. Oh, the disappointment... ::) Might end up with a Brer Rabbit moment....."Puleees don't send me to the basement..."
Hot and humid heading back in our area for the week starting overnight, this rain will sure leave some extra humids laying about.
Enjoy the day everyone!
Love the P-38, if a bit glitzy... :o
Morning all.....
Morning all,
Gee, it's the weekend? I guess that explains all these people (wife and son) wondering around the house during the day.
I've been slacking a bit lately. I need to get back at it. I'm still pondering my next 'thread worthy' build. I have one kit in mind, but I want to rename the business which means making new signs. The challenge there is finding a font that I find appealing.
Have a great one!
