Good morning all. Weather is supposed to be just south of 80 degrees today. I'll work for a couple hours at the cemetery and then stay home for the rest of the day. Anybody ever by a craftsman kit with Green Stamps?
That's an unusual loco. 2-6-2 wheel pattern, tapered boiler, but piston valves.
To my amazement, the laser cutter that is no longer listed on Amazon's website has been shipped, and should arrive tomorrow.

Good morning! Dan I remember "Green Stamps" from when I was a kid. I remember seeing my mother paste them in books.
Good morning, all, from the sunny and 70s NH seacoast. We're doing laundry this Labor Day, once I've looked over the Forum I'll go pick fruit and make a run to the farm stand. We'll also mow the lawn ("labor", after all), and finish getting the polls set up for tomorrow's NH primary.
The Galveston RR Museum looks pretty impressive in an aerial photo; appears the ATSF had a good deal of office space over their passenger station. Appears the museum got the both the waiting room and platform area. Wikipedia says the 2-6-2 was built for an unnamed logging road and became the Waco, Beaumont, Trinity & Sabine's last locomotive in 1948. Condemned by ICC 1959, to the museum 1981.
I also remember my mother saving Green Stamps, but I think we redeemed them by mail; I don't recall seeing any storefronts in or near Newburyport.
A nice quiet cool day in Michigan with bright 8) sky and calm. The Doll's grand daughter is here and I made eggs for us. I'm not enjoying eggs like I used to, it seems my taste buds have changed and not for the better for eggs. :P
I plan on a couple bench projects, but that could change quickly. We got all the mowing out of the way before heading over to friends for a nice enjoyable cook out last evening. It sure got chilly when El Sol dropped behind the fence row. :-[
I like to old steamer, lots of them around here and there in various stages of appearance.
Everyone have a fun day, most kids around will be in school by this week if not already. Watch out for the big yellow boxes haulin' them around.
