Title: Custom turnout manufacturer
Post by: pete on September 12, 2026, 09:54:21 PM
Hi everyone

Is there anyone out there that builds custom hon3 turnouts? If yes, can you send me their information please?

I'm looking for code 55 #4 left and right turnouts. I appreciate it!

Pete

Jamestown trains. I've never used this company, but they have what you want.  Standard rail used is code 70, but says to e-mail him if you want code 55.

And I know Dave Meek is using Empire Track Works for his HOn3 turnouts for his Barlow Pass layout.
Theirs are minimum #6, but says they do custom work.

With Code 55 rail, are you planning to glue it to wood ties, or solder it to PC board ties?  I found Code 55 to be difficult to spike without the heads winding up high enough to make flanges bump.
