Morning all,
Thirty six degrees here this morning headed to 63 later. The RPM meet was OK. Picked up a few pieces of rolling stock. I only went to one clinic and it was good. Overall, I don't think I need to go to another.
The local club has their yearly "Iowa City Train Show" today, so I'll go to that this morning. Will listen to the Patriots game later and watch some games as well.

Morning all,
Very pleasant outside today. Looks like the high will be 77. I guess Fall has arrived. 8)
Painting and decaling detail parts for the current build. The decals are a little challenging. I hope I can finish that task today. I'd like to start gluing stuff together!
Have a great one!
Morning all.....

Good Morning;
Good to see you Tom checking in. The weather is indeed nice today in upper 60's to start. Watched my USF football team win yesterday. Also ran to Ocala to retrieve the models I displayed at the Sunshine region of the NMRA regional convention, a drawbridge and pickle factory. The pickle factory isn't done overall but the structure itself is. I wanted to see if they could pass merit score so I could finish up the AP Structures category NMRA has. They both did, the bridge just, and the factory with room to spare. There were a lot of models in the judging this year and the quality really looked good so I am just happy I achieved the merit level. I was not able to stay for the evening banquet (it was going to be four hours long) so have no idea who won in the various categories but they sure had a lot of neat stuff to choose from which was nice to see.
Today I will be cleaning up the house as the Boss arrives back from her dragon boat contest out in Las Vegas. Her boat came in 2nd in the 200 sprint race which was great, there were 48 teams so a pretty big deal. They came in 4th in the 500 meter so just missed placing in that one. When finished they found out the races were not by age as most of these are. Their boat is 55 and up and they do indeed have a couple in their 80's. The boat that beat them in the 200 was up to 35 years old so made their second place that much more special. Also explained why they could not keep up in the longer races. She is happy so all is well.
Well I need to clean up the house so have a great day.
Jim
100% sun 8) with temps in 40s going to60 or so today.
My SPARTY blew a late lead, again >:( :( . Played "ok" just not OK enuf.
Going to friends' this evening. May mow the back half, did front after foosball. My new bulk pack of KDs arrived after I ran out earlier today. I shook two hopper out of their blue boxes yesterday. Wrapped up the Day with watching Towering Inferno into the whee hours. ??? Fine fantasy 'entertainment' ;)
Be well all.
Last night was our first hard freeze, it got down to 27. Scotch Club yesterday was a bit chilly, but fortunately the winds died down as the sun set.
More work today on the resin gondola kit, and probably some scenery work. I'm in a pretty good groove right now, where I can do some work at the bench then let glue or paint dry, and go to the layout to do some scenery work.
