Does this stuff go bad if never opened? I have some jars from 3 years ago, that I don't think I ever opened. Should I replace or open and check for a bad smell or separation of the elements?
Randy.
I think the modge stuff is a milk based product very much like the Borden white glue and such stuff.
If it doesn't smell bad it is OK. I think the materials separation is a pretty good indicator but I've had some of this stuff for a VERY long time without failure. I've left some of the Borden stuff in the garage and had it freeze (I think) and it still worked. Pretty durable stuff.

Thanks Bob. Always a fountain of information! I need to practice my creek/river/pond skills.

If it hasn't been opened, it won't go bad.
