Good morning all. Hope this weather stays around, getting warmer, sunnier.

Going to do the bracing for the tobacco shop from the Carricks kit, and continue with the walls while I wait for my clear styrene to arrive.

Be safe all.

A bit of progress. All the windows are glazed, now, except the store front. The sheet styrene that came with the kit is scratched and dingy looking, somewhat. Will make a trip to Michaels tomorrow, for new. And yes, I know I can use other clear pastics. Trouble is, I can't find a thing in the house usable lol.

I did as Daryl suggests, gave the windows a wash of flat clear, for a filmy look for the glass. Not the front, and won't do the big windows. The Mrs let old man Carrick know in no uncertain terms that her shop would definitely have plate glass in the store front, despite his complaining about cost. She has one of the girls who works there give them a cleaning each morning. They like her, so they do it gladly (and she pays well).

Afternoon, all. Glad it seems all are doing Ok. Have gotten a bit of bench time in, and the rain has stopped, so house gets power washed today, finally.

Be safe.

I 'think', but not sure, that the 1st few kits George did, including that one, do not have all the castings included. I just the other day say the ad for that kit in a old MR, and that was 1st thing I noticed in the photo, it was bare of detail items.

Wow, though I was getting here late.

Morning all. Don't know how I lose a day or 2, here and there, but it seems to happen.

Started glazing windows for Carricks build, lots of tiny panes. Would be done, but went to start Sunday, glass paint was dry in bottle (ok, so it doesn't last years). Michaels for a new bottle, but still a couple delays.

Be safe, all.

Morning all.

Not so much modeling done, but did get to bench and clear it of accumulated 'stuff' from last several weeks. Then got out the items I'll use to glaze the windows and got organized for that. Should be starting that in a few hours.

Be safe, all.

Good Friday AM to everyone.

The loss of motivation, other than that that comes from feeling lousy with a cold or other health issue, for me, is the 'blue spells' I get at times, due to losing my wife. It's been 2 1/2 years, does not seem that long. They come on, and I have no urge to do anything, much less hobby stuff. But I have, so far, managed to pull out of them, and feeling that a bit now.

And that was not said out of any self pity thing, or sympathy quest. Just stating the fact that it happens.

Anyway, heading in to try and do a bit more on Carricks.

Be safe, all.

Good morning one and all. Been down with health issues, and a real loss of oomph getting back into back into the hobby. Anyone else have spells like that? (not the health issue :)

My Tichy assortment arrives today, and I did manage to get time to clean up all the metal castings, so hope to get all the items primed later today, or in the AM at the latest.
