Dense FOG and mid 50s :o  changing over to  8) Sun and close to the 80o range a bit later in the day.  We had rain yesterday but this mornings' forecast is little of that for the next week.

Joy of victory and the agony of defeat in both races I had going yesterday.  Indy seemed not to gather up a rhythm that it often does, the ending was intense.  Charlotte's race was...long.

Grass mowing and travel prep on tap for today.  :D

Remember the reason for the day.  Thanks to all vets and their families.

Grey and cool, upper 50s this morning, 10:30 ish.  Rain has left but it is dull out.

Plans are to watch the Indy 500, been part of my "Memorial Day" for close to 75 years, tv less.

I may also see some of the NASCAR race from Charlotte.  Giant cloud over that series with the passing of Kyle Busch.  So sad.

Geek squad will be along sometime today, as well.

Bench or layout in there, I painted a fuel tank for a locomotive yesterday, needs some dull on it today.  One of my 90%ers.  Been damned near done for a year or more.  Get it up to 95% soon.

Lots of nice photos here the last week or so, the WM steamer is great to see.  Rick, keep the snow.

Be well.

Rain and grey in Michigan

We're getting a good soak today, a great day to roll over and hide. But my GI Doc/P A, canx my appt next Wednesday for unknown conflict and offered me a noon appointment today so I'm getting ready and headed out that way.

Bench time is planned when I return.

We had a nice wandering day yesterday for the Doll's XXXth birthday. Sunny but cool.

Our daughter and granddaughter drove up to the cedar swamp and put a once over on the bunker at Northern Command finding things in good shape and fit. It was quite chilly there. We hope to go up soon.

I hope everyone is having a great day. Be well.

All the best, Dave. For all the grievances we make on the "system" we're living at a time of wonder for the knowledge and skill that is there.

All the prayers and good thoughts for you.

I'm putting a new tunnel in just down from the trestle that continues to be landscaped

A little more static grass and it will look great.  ;D

::) Early, for me, Saturday morning.

We have rain, steady soaking roll over and "(*&^%$(*&^ it" rain, that is making lots campers grumble.  Thank goodness for the microwave, the fire is drowned, type of day.  Temp in the low 50s.

I have a noon doc appt. rescheduled from next Wednesday a couple days ago.  annual rewal of GI stuff.  Annual "Wellness Visit" with my "provider" is 1th of June.

The Doll and I had a fine day yesterday.  My son decided his 50th with a couple friends was better than with the old man.  He headed to Northern lower MI to trail ride.  Hope he has mud gear... :-X

Plenty of stuff on the bench when I get back home later in the day.

Cloudy bright and almost 50 in Michigan this morning.  I will be celebrating with the Doll her birthday.  On a little road trip with the goal of a little diner in the mid Michigan farm country 50 miles NNE of us.

Little if any modeling.

She's enjoying her "new" eyes."

It all came to pass.  We had a nice day, topped off with eating some fine food at the diner.  Enough left overs for the weekend.

40s and  8) sunny in Michigan. It might go to 60 late in the day.

How're the eyes, Dave.

That interlocking is interest,Jeff. I have a place I could do something like that, but should try to stay the course on what is already started.  I have a tendency to wander off and leave stuff unfinished.

Going of toward a daughter's on the West side of Lansing and heard Hobby Lobby mentioned, too.

Enjoy the day all.

Cool, 40s, but sunny  8).  60s later.

Things to get around and get at today.  Modeling? mearly a thought as today goes.

Be well all.

Trax looks cute, Curt, you know the miles on the Versa he had?

Be well all.

I've always thought Horwoods to be one of the better projects out there. Modern and clean.

You're doing a fine job of construction and better than fine job of 'splainin'

Quite a task.

I let myself get talked into a "if you don't like it change it". I so hate the Sawzall, tool of the devil.

8_10 years later...I need Gage's optimism... some day...

Persist, Frisco Mike. often says.  He's a wise man.

48 with  8) sun and calm. Going to 60?  Cooler after the front passed during the day. We got no rain out of it. Drove around the area and saw considerable damage from Monday's wind. Huge trees down in one cemetery, dead folks all over the place :o  Line crews still were working in places.

1:1 and 3d printer maintenance today if things go as planned.

Little progress, Rick. Working on ground cover. I need to just jump in and make what I've done work. Will look 100% better than plywood and sticks. Rustoleum paint I used on bridge parts, spray can from big box, still has a slight tackiness to it I don't like. Hardly feel it by touch but if I lay down 2-3 bridge bents atop each other they will slightly adhere to each other after awhile.  I still need a mental plan on arranging the bridge.

BTW, the tiller started but needs some tinkering to be right, another 1:1 distraction.

97o did I read that right :o  killer for us Yankees, twice today's morning temp. 80o about did me in a couple days ago  :P wide ranging temperature swings are hard to deal with a/c at noon, heat at wake-up the next morning.  Were are also dealing with high levels of faint yellowish powder from the pines, pollinating.

Excited for you Rick on the house deal. Looking at Souix Falls IMAGES search, some nice pics on there, also find it is in Minnehaha County!  Looks like a nice sized city.

Enjoy all. Be safe

8) Sun in Michigan and cooler, 50o going to 65o

We've a couple cooler days to enjoy before rain Saturday and then warming by "pseudoMemorial Day" next Monday.  May 30 will forever be the real deal.

1:1 and hobby stuff to do after I conjure up some breakfast.

Enjoy Jim's coffee! ::)

After mowing yesterday we had a huge storm at 3 pm followed by a power outage at 3:02  >:( reported winds were in the 90 mph range near us ripping the roof off of an elementary school full of kids. Luckily no injuries

We had dinner out with the Doll's brother and cousins. Ate well, dutifully nodding and grinning as bro-in-law soaked up the adulation at our end of the table ::) the Doll kept her end laughing  ;D  I don't know how people with kids can afford to take them out.

More stormy stuff later today, then big cool off from today's near 80 and 20-30 winds to highs in 60s until the weekend.

Bench time later. Out now for bird food and groceries for dinner tonight. Have seen lots of trees and branches down on the way. Power crews still working in places.

Be safe all.
