Good to hear from ACLTom. Slug along, we're on your side!

We're in the midst of a long line of t-storms since around 0400 or so. Storms go way back across the lake toward TomO. 7"/hour rain rate at times, and lightning and thunder rolling along. FLOODING warning just issued.

Glad I mowed late yesterday afternoon until nearly dark. Too wet to finish today.

No plans yet. Inside for sure.

We're in the midst of what will seem like hours of storms, started around 0400 and lots of thunder and plenty of rain, can't read the number but it looks like 3-4 inches in the gage.  Weather dude on the tv site said it rained at a rate of 7" per hour as one segment passed.  It looks now, after 0900 that there will be more yet. Severe stuff is unlikely but possible.  It did get severe East of Lansing after it passed us yesterday.

Not sure on plans, I mowed the majority of the yard yesterday after supper, it had cooled a bit.  Won't be able to finish the back today, way too wet.

Jaime, we also have a Sept anniversary, #25 this year, on the 18th.  Often we trip out, too.  Several years we went to Fostoria but since building up in the UP we go there. Colors should be starting.

Nice photos all.  That Porter looks well fit for the fall.  Raymo's Garage is a cool building, too. "Build me" is written all over it.

Enjoy the day all, travelers be safe.

Hot and humid here in mid-Michigan with an eye on the skies  :o

Picturesque skyline last evening by the pig farm.

IMG_4031.jpeg

Overnight we had some rain then a bit after 0900 we had a quick thunderstorm with hail

IMG_4046.jpeg

It dumped 6/10" of rain in around 10 minutes then moved on East

IMG_4053.jpeg

My Rx finally is ready and we're headed off to pick it up.

Bench and layout are still on for the afternoon. Temp to reach 90 again today.

Be well all. Keep your powder dry  :D

The buck stopped here...

IMG_4022.jpeg

Just sitting on the back deck last night when is handsome boy stopped by to pose for me.

We had a couple of drops of rain yesterday but the rain actually passed ever so slightly SW to SE.

Went out for Mexican yesterday. I did manage to use up some of the plaster cloth I got.

This guy stopped by as well.

Enjoy the day. Layout or bench time later.

Did I mention it's hot here, humid, too?

Another hot one in Michigan today. Approaching 100o by noon.

One Rx I have coming is still "being worked on" so no idea when I'll trek in to town.

I finished dismantling the old filament 3d machine. Thought of selling parts on eBay but decided the value wasn't enough to bother. Nice to have the room to use.

Not sure of plan for today. Mostly inside.

Still need to do my morning routine.

Gotta run. L8R

Sun and heat are back in MI.  Heat index to approach 100o is forecast.  Might be stuck inside. We had a t-boom around 3 pm, noise and rumble and only 1/10" of rain.

Amazon did get my plaster cloth here by mid afternoon.  I was tied up tho on a project.  I disassembled my old, obsolete 3d printer and harvested a power supply and some hardware and tossed the rest.  Was over $1k and I had to assemble it.  Tech surpassed it's abilities and it's been an area hog for some time.  Got into that when our friend and one time RR-L chef Burly Jim gave a clinic on it at an NMRA even in Grand Rapids.  I could replace it with a new printer with better resolution these days, for $200 or so depending on sales.

Today, Rx to fetch then return to the layout or the work room clean out.

Rick, I never was a morning person, worked nights 90% of my law enforcement career.  I liked busting bad guys not running bs errands for supervisors with nothing to do but pick nits.  Had some real pros at that at our place.  Sgt Pat Perfect was a sad sack wannabe state trooper.  He and I had a years long battle over my mustache length. Spit shine and such doesn't work for a K-9 guy. ;) Cops now days don't even shave. :-\

Enough, back to today.

Clouds, and humid with rain at chance today in MI as them temps move back into the 80s for several days.  Rain dancer on the tv website said, "no super soakers".  I'll take it.

Chill out ended up with some bagging and tossing of unused crap and corruption from the work room, a bag out to the hopper for this morning's weekly pickup.  The old 55" TV went to the curb as well.  I went to the basement to do some plaster cloth work and found out I only had a partial roll, used it and quit early.  Amazon bringing a half dozen rolls today.  I found a box of old photos behind stuff in the workroom, looked thru some and wondered where life has gone... :-\

Watched ON GOLDEN POND last night, with a whole new point of view, having just turned 78.  :o I've become Walter.

Yes RON Football season is upon us, we'll see how the Blue and Silver do this fall. New coaches in E. Lansing have a glimmer of some hype but a definite "show me.." attitude here.

All I got...be well all.

Another fine pic, Ric(k), apparently you get up earlier than I do.. ;D

Mixed bag of weather in the mitten state today, warmer trending to hot and humid this week.  Rain at times but no "super soakers" according to the weather guesser.

Spent a little time on the layout yesterday and discoverd I only had a partial roll of plaster cloth so used it all up and found some on Amazon that is coming, they said, today.  I also did some cleanup in my work room, not that you'd notice.

Not sure of plans for today.  Yet.

Enjoy the day all.

I filled in some of the trestle scene and have heavy power testing it out. Still thinking out process of tie-in and cross bracing on the bents, very tight clearance :-\

IMG_4001.jpeg
This afternoon I headed to the other end to begin some plaster cloth work and could only find a partial roll so it limited my progress. More coming tomorrow from Amazon ;)

Back to your regularly scheduled programming  ;D  Thanks for tuning in.

Rain overnight and continues this morning. .6" in the gage moments ago.

OPS went well yesterday, worked an out and back industrial turn and a road train. While passing the passenger station I saw a glitzy set of power on one of the ready tracks.

Aren't grand kids gifts great?

Might wander to the layout later. Need to take a chill out day, the rain will help ;)

Enjoy the day everyone.

Kids all started school here at least a week or more ago.

Be Well

Grey and rain, much needed, here in Michigan this morning.  Under an inch but will continue until afternoon.  It cancelled semi whimsical plans to take the Doll over to an outdoor antique/old crap show at the fairgrounds on the W side of the state. Oh, the disappointment... ::) Might end up with a Brer Rabbit moment....."Puleees don't send me to the basement..."

Hot and humid heading back in our area for the week starting overnight, this rain will sure leave some extra humids laying about.

Enjoy the day everyone!

Love the P-38, if a bit glitzy... :o
