Thanks TCT855

the real question is, how many saloons do you have?

Well folks,  This announcement might be new to you, but I am finally getting around to posting on this site.  I designed this kit based on an old Shorpy photo of a Conoco Gas Station.  We have included a variety of white metal castings and unique 3D printed parts.  Charlie Getz did a build and review in The Narrow Gauge Gazette.  I had a chance to present George Sellios with one of our kits at his latest open house.  He might even put it on his railroad somewhere.  We shall see!

I am interested in taking pictures of historic structures in and around Albany while I am at the show. I found a photo of a fire station in Coxsackie while browsing through a Fire Station Book.  A visit to Google earth to Coxsackie shows several historic brick storefronts and other structures.  Can any of you recommend any other places, trackside industry, factories, old bridges and old towns around the area?

Thanks,

Jake Johnson

I will be traveling by air to get to the EXPO.  Can anyone recommend a way to pack a structure along for the trip?

I am considering a trip for the firs time to the EXPO.  I've been doing some kit design and laser cutting in my spare time.  I'd like to learn more about the manufacturing of craftsman structure kits.  While I have done a fair amount of drawing and cutting, the one thing that seems to be a mystery to me is the pattern making and the manufacturing of detail castings in white metal and 3D printing.  I would llove to learn more about the pattern making, or sub contracting the pattern making and casting process to someone who knows what they are doing.  Also it appears that 3D printing is the next new way to create parts for kits.  I am looking to make connections with people who are doing this to get some ideas, connections, etc.  I'm not looking for anyone to give away any trade secrets, but a point in the right direction would sure help in the journey to making Model Railroad kits

Thanks,

Jake Johnson

So a 3 hr drive to see George Sellios' layout?  Is this open on Wednesday and/ or Sunday.  Looks like I will need a rental car if I end up going.  Can anyone confirm this?
