Steve,

Just getting back to your thread again.  Beautiful work on the scenery, structures and overall layout progress.
Can you tell me what color, paints, and perhaps how you achieved the blue coloring on the bakery? That is a very nice looking structure
as all of your structures are.

Jerry,

I think the rafters look great, tedious work but much needed process to provide for a sturdy roof.
That's a lot of panels to glue fown, but will be a showstopper when completed. Nice work.

Keep the pictures coming. can you put up the link to your personal build website page sometime again?  Thanks

Hey Karl,

It's been a while since I have been active, and I just looked at all of your structures in this thread,
and I have to say your modeling is still top notch. I like what you have done so far, and I hope you
continue at some point. Great work.

Kit Building / Re: FSM Crocker Bros Feed Mill

Steve,

Great work on this FSM build. Thanks for the clarification on the standing rib roof materials from Northeastern. I have not found where to buy the same material
you used until I read your thread. Also, the reference you made regarding the added metal casting from a FSM kit, looks similar to one found in the FSM Jefferies Point kit, but the part is different. The Jefferies Point kit part has a pipe protruding from its top vs sideways, like what you have shown.
All in all, I will be following your build of this kit. Thanks for sharing.

Steve,

This overall scene is turning out quite nice. I see your attention to explicit detailing
throughout the entire layout. You are an exceptional modeler. Thanks for sharing.
PS:  I am scratchbuilding this FSM Sewall's Foundry group of structures now.

Craig,

As others have said before me, nice work on the small structures.  Sometimes small ones take more thought processes than contemplating construction methods on the larger ones.  ;D

Eric,

This is an interesting project. And no doubt it will be interesting to watch.
I have some of the Monster Modelworks brick sheets and I like the way you
utilized them as brick over brick to achieve the desired effect. Nice job
on the bay windows too.

Steve,

I too, like using the cedar shake shingles. They look best when weathered and you have done
an excellent job with them. I like that you have missed a few in places. Nice work.

WOW !!!! I just stumbled upon this thread today..and I am impressed.
All of the structures look perfectly constructed, roads flow seamlessly
together, and ground cover ties it all together. I was hoping to see
some of your layout pictures and I will definitely be following along on
your progress. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Bernd,

This project is very enlightening and you seem to grasp all aspects of the unknown (3D printing) with ease.
Congratulations for "stepping out" of the normal way of modeling, but I am "old school" when I model. My
use of an exacto knife and straight edge, whether it is wood or plaster, is as far out as I will go....and cheap too !
I honestly believe you will find your niche and when you do, you will overwhelmed with orders for parts ...  ::) ::) ::)
Keep at it, your rock crusher will be the focal point of your layout..

Steve,

How did I miss this wonderful looking diorama?
It really has the flare of backwoodsy feel. Nice work.

Steve,

With your modeling abilities, I'm sure you will have another winner.
I noticed when you dry brush the walls after A & I, it really makes the stone pop.
I will be following along with your progress. I have yet to dig mine out, and I should
have purchased the castings from Jimmy when they were available, because I bought
a kit on Ebay without the walls. I didn't want to buy an extra set of castings, but now
I could kick myself. Oh well, you snooze and you lose!
