Frank,
You are correct.  Most of the buildings are paper sided due to the tight clearances of 3" to 1' deep.  One thing we both found out with the paper sides, is when filming light is easily reflected back.  Even with 2 coats of dull coat, it still gives a sheen.  The next time I take pictures I will have to take with lights positioned at sharp side angles.  I'll tell yah the isle is only 28" wide, not even in spots.  T...

In this recession, one town managed to be built next to the city of Franklin.  Town name is Wellington.  A pretty neat railroady name if you ask me.  George is absolutely a master craftsman in any language.
So if he's thinking about winding down on manufacturing kits, he most certainly is not winding down in creating structures or building his layout.  Like Jim Carrey,  I'm glad George has an outlet for his craft also.
Yes! you heard me right.  George is a funny man also.  Who else can come up with so many timeless interpretations of life in such an animated format.  Funnest thing to me, is even tho I'm fortunate enough to work with him from time to time.
I still understand and every bit appreciate watching what he'll do next.  George is so down to earth and humble that when we're together or even just a phone call away, he still will ask me and others for help or ideas or even take suggestions.
So for me there's just a little extra excitement in seeing pictures and even the layout in person, because I got to add a small piece to this "World's Greatest Hobby".  Here are a couple simple pics of what you'll see upon entering the layout just through the door on your way to greeting George!
For further work in progress and outtake pictures of wellington and for those who can't wait for the next open house Friday Jan. 29th 2016 click here.   http://thomscustomtrains.com/fsm-showcase.html    Have a good day everyone!      Thanx Thom...

Yup!, watching this process and all the attention to detail & time involved is what I hope everyone who asks someone else to do to their brass models pays attention too! So when the bill comes in the sticker shock will be better understood. ha...   Please sir, continue.  I'm riveted to my seat in how this movie turns out.  Thanx Thom...

George & I thought here's a couple old rare shots of Marthaville located at the rear of the layout next to Dovertown as seen through a tiny hole in the backdrop.  Enjoy!  Thanx Thom... Hey BTW how do I post pics side by side with written captions next to them.  I'm definitely a bit sloooow.
