Morning all.

0827 and no patients yet.  I almost enjoy working in the summer as it's pretty quiet.  

They found no leak with the car, but the timing belt and spark plugs need replacing soon for over $2K.  I've convinced the wife we need to replace the van as I'm not pouring that amount of money into a sixteen year old vehicle.  

If I can make it through today I have the next eleven days off.   Headed to the Oshkosh air show next week.

Morning all.

Trash/recycling is out and car is charging.   Gonna be another hot one today.  The humidity is 93% already.  I'll be going out for my walk early, hopefully can make at least four miles.   

The garage cleaning was a chore yesterday, not only because it felt like a sauna.  I moved everything, swept everything, and...the power washer didn't work.  At first it was due to water hook up issues, but later  it tripped the circuit breaker, and I think it burned the motor out.  So after an online study of power washers (and drying off), fortunately Lowe's had the one in stock I wanted, and at $50 off.  The garage still wasn't dried out after 3 plus hours.

TGIF, my four day weekend is here.   I have an MRI scheduled this morning and will go out for an early dinner this afternoon to a set of villages west of here called the Amanas.  They are an Amish sect from Germany and have restaurants that serve great food.  Der sauerbraten est wunderbar!

I have a haircut planned for this morning and will need to mow (again!) this afternoon.  The combo of rain and sunny/hot temps have made it an every 3 day chore.  Otherwise a day to goof off between my two work days.

I slept really late, but still up in time to take out the trash this morning.  

I finally used the VR headset with a combat sim (Il-2).  It is pretty awesome to view around the plane with moving your head, but I don't recommend it for people with vertigo or other balance issues.  I had a little nausea after about a half an hour.  

Grocery store trip planned for this morning.  

Hope Dave's procedure goes well today.

Morning all.

Left work early yesterday as I didn't feel well.  Went to the ENT as I've developed a "stitch abscess" where the biopsy was taken.  Started on some antibiotics and so far I feel better today.  Of course, today I have a trip to the neurologist for my nerve conduction test.  I'm so tired of seeing doctors, and I am one.  

Hopefully some more work on the ITLA kit later, getting close to getting it "finished".

Hard to believe it's July.  

I have a walk planned for later this morning.  I need to paint the roof of the ITLA structure, install it and then add the pieces for the tops of the walls.   Hopefully that can be completed today.

Going to be a bit cooler here today after storms rumbled through yesterday.  In typical company fashion, my admin made us "shelter" at work after the tornado warning had basically passed us.  

I have an early visit to the ENT today to continue my parade of doctor visits.

Slowly progressing on the recent build, we'll see if I can get anything accomplished today.

Up early and will head out for a walk at 0800 before the stifling heat returns.  A trip to the grocery store is on tap for the morning as well.

Took a couple of hours and several internet searches to figure out how to get the VR headset to work.  It's too uncomfortable to wear with my glasses, so lens inserts were ordered.  

I really need to get back to the ITLA build.

Gonna be hot and humid here today with temps over 90.  I'm headed out for my walk now as I just put out the trash/recycling and it's already a bit steamy. 

No train motivation recently, maybe I'll dabble into that later, or not.

Sunny and 88 later today.  I'll see if I can get a four mile walk in this morning and will mow this afternoon.  

Still slowly working to get this new computer up to snuff.  Need to download the program I use (Xn view)  for photo cropping, etc. and figure out where the software for the audio is on this machine.

Gonna be a hot one here today with a high over 90.  I will go on my walk this morning before it gets too warm.  Don't know if I'll mow later, I may be able to wait until Friday.  Might wash the car, the windshield is so buggy it's getting hard to see out.

Going to be a beautiful sunny day here in the 70s.  I have a trip to Costco, the grocery store, and possibly Lowe's on the docket for this morning.  Finally finished with the window installation on the ITLA kit, I need to update that thread.

New computer working fine.  Some minor issues getting the two most important games transferred.  Just started transfer of old files to new, hopefully with a speedy USB C hookup, this will take much less than the hour it did on the USB A to the portable Terabyte drive. 

A walk and mowing are on today's agenda.  Plus some work on the ITLA kit.

Hard to believe it's the last day of May.  Going to be a warm one here.  Still haven't seen the roofers.  Maybe next week.

Sitting here waiting to see if the roofers decide to come today.  This is the first time we've had 4 days of sun in a row for awhile and it would be nice to see them get started.  

Otherwise a lazy Wednesday here.  My running the trains for an audience went well Monday, only one minor derailment of the steamer which I ran around the layout six times without incident, but of course when there's an audience, over it went.    At least the Twin Cities Zephyr ran without issues.
