Paul,

This will be fun to see how it can/could have been built.

Hi Paul:

This should be interesting. I've never built a ship either.

Karl
Thanks for following along Karl !!

Well this will be lots of fun to watch! Haven't seen a build thread on one of my boats in at least five years.

The Addison is named after well known modeler Jon Addison. He's crazy! He loaned me two boats he scratch built so I could dismantle them and make molds of the two water-line hulls. They were just so awesome and Jon nailed the look of the "backwoods" in a boat! The other boat the "Jewel" along with the Addison were released with Foss' Landing back in December 2000. I have seen many built up versions of the boats over the years but this will only be the third or fourth build thread.

Brett
Good evening Brett !   Thanks very much for the back story on the two boats and how they came to be.  Jon is a wonderful modeler and an even better person, so very glad to be building "his" boat ...
Thanks for following along and I will try to do this justice for both Jon and you.

Paul sure got our attention. The highlight of the last Expo was getting to see Paul's modeling skill on display on his layout.
Well thank you very much Mike and so glad you got to see a little of what I have been up to on the layout, but like most far from being anywhere near complete ...   And as you are no stranger to building excellent SWSM kits, the pressure is on seeing as you will be following along.
Cheers,

Paul,

You can add me to the watchers also.

Tom ;D
Tom, thanks for following along ...  Now that beautiful river you have going with the little fishing village may need a boat or two, so perhaps a boat build in your future as well ??   Just saying'
All the best,

Paul,

This is a different type of build.  I will be following it.  I have SWSM Shelby's Marine to build. There is a resin trawler to build in that kit.  So I will be following your techniques.
Hello Steve.  Shelby's is a wonderful kit and you should really enjoy building that.  I will do my best to document what I can for you so that this thread may be a useful resource when it comes time for you to build that trawler ...
Best,
--Paul
