so you had a oily watery mix with the paint ? So it stuck in some places, but the oily spirits made it not stick in others?

I don't mixed the turpentine and the acrylic on the same can.
I just used the same brush. First I soak the "walls" and wait for some seconds. Then I used the same brush quite dry to apply the acrylic colour. (Do it softer than you can). The turpentine makes the rest...

Anyway, on my "Mooney's" build I used pigments and adhesive mask to produce the peeling. Maybe there it looks more real and softer.

On this one I'm Looking for an aged building so I tried that option to see how it turns.

Mmm...forget!!!
Remember I don't painted the first coat of colour using acrylics  ???
