Good morning!  Been up for a while.  Our dog just had to go out, and there was something in the woods that kept him all hyped up.  Probably the local bear w/3 cubs that hang out down the street.  A little shopping and chores are on my agenda today.  I did manage to paint up a few castings.  I can't believe Thanksgiving is almost here!

Good morning Mark and everyone.

Big changes here.  My cows were sold, loaded, and left the farm yesterday.  I was sad to see them go but it was time to move on.  My neighbor that helps me bought a couple small heifers and is leaving them here this winter.  So I'll still have some connection with his moos.  The plan is to return to growing crops, primarily hay next year.  I still have a lot to do outside before winter arrives full strength but am expecting an increase in my hobby time after the arrival of the new year.

Everyone have a great day!

Morning, all.

Lazy day planned here.  Did outside stuff yesterday before watching the Hawkeye victory.  Probably should get the Christmas tree/stuff out today.  Visited "Old Ironsides" when in Boston last month.

Morning,

The baseboards have now been all replaced. My daughters will be the first room to be re-painted, after all it has been 17 years since it was last refreshed.

Good morning! Sorry, to hear the cows are gone Jerry.  It's part of managing a farm and doing what's best for you. More hobby time sure sounds good. I have to go shopping for a treadmill this afternoon.  My old one gave out, yesterday. It was 20 years old and had a lot of miles on it.

I hope everyone has a great day. From the F&SM:

Good Morning All,

Some animal chores then hopefully layout time. Tomorrow I'm driving daughter's family to Port Canaveral for a cruise over Thanksgiving so they can save the ridiculously high parking costs at the Port. It's about an hour from my house.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all,

First day in the train shed after tenting. Time to vacuum and clean up.

Not much else to say. So, in conclusion, have a great day.

Morning all,

Yesterday's trip to a different Home Depot was a bust.  This one didn't have the 80 inch hang rail for the shelving I was searching for either.  Oh well.  I'll keep trying.  It's not like I was going to start that project this week though I do hope to get it done sometime next month.

Have a great one!

Son and daughter in law coming over for his birthday dinner.  Making his favorite: chicken and waffles, which is of course the traditional Pennsylvania German version of chicken and waffles: stewed shredded chicken in rich gravy over waffles.  I was never aware there was any other versions until well into adulthood, and was scandalized to find out some just pile fried chicken over waffles, add a sauce or dressing and call it chicken and waffles. Appalling!  ;)
