...so I thought it would be interesting to show a build of the same kit in an opposing scale....we all know our own Tom Landford is building my Rural PO in HO scale, and posts such great informative details of his progress....so let's see how aother does it in O scale....

..so I'll post The progress of my good friend Bill Davis of Fuquay-Varina NC as he builds my O scale rural PO...

...Bill is a talented modeler, mainly in O scale, and you can find his articles in O Scale Trains (OST)...and he continues to push me to do more O scale kits...he seldoms leaves a kit as intended, and it's always so neat to see his individual take (like our own Tom) on each build....his builds of our CCK kits has led to changes/improvements to our final kit offerings....

Ok, so as Bill sends me pics, I'll post them here....since this is O scale, it does offer some greater detailing options....the main walls are made from standard basswood and the battens are individually applied using scale 5/4"x4" strip wood.....while a tedious process it makes for a nice prototypical look....here Bill has finished the walls and primed them, ready for assembly....pleae note that the actual window and door locations have changed from what the original kit will be....(like Tom, Bill just cannot leave well enough alone..)

I just received a new O scale kit from Jeff. The  John Shea Building.
I feel I can not support a better person and kit designer.
Like in all walks of life, you have true gentleman, and you have true ********.
And we have witnessed both. Jeff is a true gentleman. John (Toms River) told me the other day that Jeff's wife is a special lady.
The kits are also beautiful, would you expect less.
Thank you Jeff.
