The NH seacoast is still below 60F with light rain on and off, and I'm wearing long pants and a long-sleeve shirt.   The house is still holding heat from early in the week.  A bunch of internet shopping, then the layout as it will be a few days before the grass responds to the rain.

This summer's weather pattern is "It only rains on a long weekend."  Our city declared a formal drought emergency yesterday, we're down something like 14" of rain this year (about 50% normal.)  Reservoirs and aquifers are definitely low.  We had a cold wet Memorial Day weekend and so far it's cold and wet for 4th of July.

I've been slowly working on light over the visible staging.  Yesterday I tried to cut some wood to an arch shape on the bandsaw, but that didn't go well at all.  Bandsaw isn't my favorite tool, so I'm not sure what's going on.  I could just hang the lights and add the valence later.  But I need to figure out how to affix the lights to the ceiling.  They have clips, but I'll need to screw those clips into wall anchors or something in the ceiling wallboard.

Good afternoon.  I'm back where the internet works.  It seems everyone from Southern Michigan headed for Northern Michigan so I decided to balance things out a bit and head back home. One of the great advantages of being retired. I hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend.  We are having great weather right now, after 2 weeks of rain. It sounds like our rain has moved off to the East.
