This is an answer to nextceo's post on the 'old' site!!  (I'm still an outcast over there and not willing
to jump thru the hoops to get back on!)
Here is a site where you can print out HO license plates with your choice of state, year,
and license plate number:
http://www.acme.com/licensemaker/licensemaker.cgi?state=Arkansas&text=LFA+627&plate=1989&r=550537855

Hey David,

Thanks for the post. Do you know what size I should be using to resize the image for an HO Scale License Plate? Example: 20 Pix High by 32 Pix Wide

Thanks again!

Thanks for the post. I had tried some other ways to try to do this. Wonder how long it would to do a couple hundred of them. I have way too many vehicles.

Hi, Alan,
When you put in the state, year, and plate number, the site automatically sizes them to HO and ready to print.

Probably take quite a while, but it's worth to have individual and unique license plates.

I haven't done it, but the program produces a jpg for the plate pretty quickly and then you can copy the jpg to a file that
you create on your computer.  This way, you can create your own file of numerous license plates and print all at once.
At least, that's the way I understood it!!

David,

Why I printed the PDF that the website generated for me, it printed at a much larger size than HO. Is there some type of setting on that website I'm missing?

Not sure, Alan.
It's been quite a while since I've used it to print a license plate, but I thought that it generated a JPEG file to print.

You might check with Dave R. (DaveInTheHat) - he's also used it and recommended it on the 'old' forum.
