Good morning.

I woke up to a white covering on the ground with more falling.   The highway department has been by plowing twice, and the road is white within a few minutes.  I'm hopeful the weather guessers are right and it will stop snowing late this morning.  I'll wait to plow when it stops...if it stops.

Anyway, doors are open and the coffee is on, come on in!

Good Morning Greg, Jerry and all who follow. Jerry, sorry I can't stop by today for the coffee. I did get a cup to start the day but I don't need the snow. The Bucs play today to see if they can make the playoffs so I will be watching while working on something model related I am sure. Weather in Central Florida looks good today so might do some yard work too. Hope everyone has a great day and I will add a history photo just to start the pictures coming.

Morning, all.

I'll be listening to the Patriots game later, hoping they lose so they can lock up the #3 pick in the draft.

Need to cut up the final cardboard from Christmas for recycling tomorrow.

Our snow is due Monday night into Tuesday.  Much colder later in the week as well.

Morning all,

I spent some time working on Red Hook Wharf yesterday and plan more of the same for today.  My kind of weekend.

Have a great one!

Well, nowhere near as much snow here as they predicted, or even as reported by my weather app.  We have maybe 3".  If I build up more steam, I'll do more work on the brickworks office building.

Good Afternoon All,

Now that it's actually Sunday... ::)

Started out with a walk at 57F then after breakfast MOH and I took down the HOA decorations. During that MOH received a spider bite and we're waiting to see if she needs to see a doctor.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Well, after fixing the upside-down wall, I added strips along the top of the structure.  Those still need the brick strips, and then I'll add the corner quoins and paint the structure.  Then it'll be time to start on the mansard roof.

The kiln chimney on the left is actually vertical/plumb, this tilt is caused by the iPhone's wide angle lens.  The idea for the building is the warehouse section is at ground level (dirt floor), and the office section is off of the ground by about 2'.  That's why the office door opening hangs in the air here.

Good evening!  I spent the day working on my layout, great way to spend a snowy Sunday.

Big party at my brother's house tomorrow for the Michigan game.  I have been a Michigan fan since my brother attended and graduated from there twice (Masters Degree).  It's okay for Michigan Tech. graduates to be fans of both schools, different football league.  Even my daughter and wife can be Michigan fans tomorrow - Michigan State Grads. I don't know how any of this is going to work when the big 10 becomes the big ??  - who knows how many teams there will be. Anyway it's about the only thing that I will watch on TV - DDR to get rid of the commercials.

I hope everyone has a great weekend - so far no plowing required for our huge snow storm.

Dave,

That's a pretty cool shot looking down the tracks.  Your structure is coming along nicely, looking forward to seeing it come together into a complete scene.

Dave,

I agree with Jerry. Mikey likes it, err, I mean Tom likes it.  ;D ;D

One corner's quoins are done, but boy this is frustrating fiddly work:

I've tried just about every adhesive in my stash, and nothing has the combination of strong initial tack, a little bit of working time, and then resistance to being bumped when I do the next pair.
