Morning all,

It's been raining off and on most of the night. Very overcast now.

Jerry, I did all you suggested yesterday. I took the carb off and cleaned and checked all the jets. There is gas flow to the carb. The generator also has a low oil shut off valve. I checked that, the oil is clean and full. So, I'm at a loss as to the problem. When this is all over, I'll take it in and let a pro fix it. My several hours working on it yesterday didn't solve the issue.

It was clear and sunny yesterday so I decided to edge and cut the grass. Now when the tree debris comes tomorrow, it can all fall on a clean yard.  ;D

Stay safe everyone in the path of Milton. I'll more than likely loose power sometime tomorrow afternoon or early evening.

Well, Tom, that really sucks with the generator....  Best of luck to everyone hunkering down.

We're off to Boston to see an art exhibit at the Gardner museum.  So no work on the layout today.

Tom,

I'm sorry to read that nothing you tried with the generator worked. I sincerely hope that you are spared the worst of the damage and you don't lose power.

Foggy morning here yet again.  It started to lift earlier, but quickly came back.  Planning to finish up some vehicles I have been working on, after that, who knows?  I might work on yet another of my many unfinished projects, or not.

I hope everyone has a safe day.

Good Morning Everyone;

Sorry about the generator Tom, the problem with them is we need them so infrequently. Mine did not work for the last storm of course but I've got it working for this one.

We have put everything away both at our house and the neighbors, the supplies are laid in so now we sit, wait and hope it turns out we did not need to do any of it, that is how these hurricanes work. I do know where I lived most of my life (Tampa Bay area) is going to take a pounding.

As for today I am going to spend some time in garage at the workbench. I am tired of watching the news consisting of the coming hurricane or the political nonsense our so called media says is 'reporting', good thing they keep their own opinions to themselves  ::).

To those in Florida, here we go, as for everyone else hope you have a great day.

Morning,

Tom, have you considered the universal fix for everything? Just kick it and if that doesn't work then shout "please"!

I am getting pressure to turn on the furnace it is so cold at night.

Morning all.

Have been up and to physical therapy this morning.  Insurance is requiring 4 visits to see if they can help my pain (which I don't have) before they will OK surgery.   :P

Hope you Floridians come through the storm OK.

Finished the small structure.  Maybe some layout work today.

Morning,

Hope to watch the Detroit-Cleveland game this afternoon. Cooler and sunny here in Ohio.

Friends in Florida, STAY SAFE!

Morning all,

The next two days should be really interesting.  We'll, maybe not.  More like long and boring for the most part.  If we wake up tomorrow and still have power I'd be thrilled.  But I'm not going to bet on it.

I should have mowed the lawn yesterday.  Like Tom did.  That'll have to wait until everything dries out after the storm.

Well, guess I'll go watch an old Humphrey Bogart movie, "Key Largo".  About folks trapped in a hotel with a gangster during a hurricane.  Seems appropriate.

Have a great one!
