Morning all,

Running out of time if you're still Christmas shopping.  I have two items to wrap today.

Didn't get much done yesterday as it was "cookie day" here and watching the Patriots game.

It was chilly again this morning, single digits when I took the dogs out.  Then I ran out without a coat to hand a $20 to the guy who picks up our trash, he gave me a hard time about that...

I have a Dr Appt and some errands to run today, not sure if I'll get back to the Lamson project.

Good morning.

-3F, -19C to start the day.  BRRRR!!!

I wonder if we should rename this to the "Cooking Forum".  The photo Doug posted of his chili got more views that either of the photos he posted showing his layout construction.

Nothing like getting part way through lettering a freight car to realize the manufacturer messed up the dry transfer lettering, made it too large and used a questionable font.  Unfortunately, the only source for the correct O&W boxcar lettering is Clover House, currently on hiatus for personal reasons.  Still thinking about going with individual letters from an alphabet set...

I hope everyone has a warm, safe, and rewarding day!

Morning all. I spent some time this weekend working on this scratchbuilt pawn shop. Looks like a fun place to hunt around for those last minute gifts.

Good morning,

I'm off work until Jan 2 so I am trying to get as much layout infrastructure/benchwork built as possible.

Continuing to work on center platform floor trusses (and then 3/4 T/G flooring) today.

This morning I exchanged 8 'reject' 2x4x8 boards that looked like they had been attacked by a large herd of rabid beavers.  I also picked up 16 additional 2x4s to build the 8 helix support columns.

And then I stopped at my bank to get a new debit card.  My debit card has been throwing a 'chip read error' for the last 3 or 4 days.

Hope y'all have a great day!

Morning all,

Matt, that pawn shop scratch build looks amazing!  :o  Doug, you're making terrific progress on the new layout.  ;D

Finished my morning walk.  It was 58 degrees when I left the house.  Shorts and t-shirt weather for a walk.  ;)  Think I'll spend some more time painting detail castings.  I have a mid-sized batch on the workbench.  Only a handful are related to the two kits I'm currently working on.  The rest are for John (Cuse).

Have a great one!
