Morning all,

Up to 33 degrees today, better than yesterday's mostly below zero weather.

I can't believe the gutter installers came Wednesday.  They had to chip off ice and icicles to install them while trapsing around in the snow with their ladders.

Yesterday at work was busy at the start and end of the day, in between, not so much.  Unfortunately, I have to work this weekend as well.   :P

Just before "The Crack" this morning in 50 calm. It's all clouded over here now an hour and a half later.

Scenic work on the layout today if I get down there.  :D

Looking at a new TV for the Doll and I for early Christmas.

Hope for a low key weekend, Jeff.

Be well all, stay warm and dry.

Mornin,' All!

Nice image, Karl!  We have the grey blanket firmly emplaced on top, likely for the rest of the day.  It's 26, feels like 26, is headed all the way to 28, and the WGFA are arriving sporadically....  Bleah!

Would be a great day to head downstairs, but my hip doesn't want to play nicely with me right now, so that idea may be moved to the dining room table and some work on a flat car.  Or something....

Make it a great day, All, and stay safe!

Good afternoon, Jeff, Karl, Pete and others who look in later. Bright sun and 25F on the NH seacoast now, much nicer than the single digits at dawn.  My eldest had joined us for a Thai fried rice lunch; after seeing him off I went to give apple cores to the chickens.  I counted 12 instead of this morning's 11! ;D Somehow, somewhere one had hidden out through Tuesday's storm, freezing night and through this morning's count.  But she came back, a much happier outcome than I'd feared.

Bookkeeping and check writing this morning, I've already packed the model RR stuff I hope to get rid of at the HUB NEMTE show in Marlboro MA tomorrow.  Next I'll move one project to a downstairs (heated) workspace, so I can continue workbench modeling through upcoming cold nights. Working under the layout is never an issue; I always wind up sweating regardless of the temperature.
