Good morning everyone.  Days activities will be taking my mother to a Doctor's appointment. It's in the middle of the day so it will ruin any chance of trying to plan anything else. Worst part is it's near Boston, traffic is going to be fun. Enjoy your day..

Well, that heat dome is moving east, and we'll start feeling it tomorrow.  Last night was comfortable, but unfortunately you can't stock up sleep...

Some more wiring work for the LED lights after German class this morning...

Good Morning;

Raymo good luck today with your Mom. Well we have had the heat in Central Florida just not much rain. Sure could use some. Today I taking my bride up to Gainesville to see a surgeon to discuss removing something near a breast they found a couple years ago. Most likely just scar tissue from when she had cancer and it has shown no signs of changing in two years but it is on her mind so we will see.

It was great seeing Canada advance in the World Cup, now if US and Mexico can make it to next round we will have North America covered! Hope everyone has a great day.

Morning all,

I'm having lunch with former co-workers today. The last of the group, who was still employed by the company, was laid off last Monday. We're now all fallen flags of one type or another (retired or laid off). The company's stock price has fallen from 150+ per share five years ago to less than 40 a share.

When I return from lunch we'll be booking next year's cruise. First choice is Holland and Belgium but, things can change once we find out what deals are available.

I received an HO Scale hot metal car in the mail the other day. It was a gift from a fellow passenger I met on our most recent cruise. It's the last piece of model railroad equipment he had. He kept it because his last name is Pollock and the car has Pollock on it. I'm not going to model a steel mill but maybe I can put it on the main line and use the excuse it's being delivered to a steel mill?  ;)

Have a great one!

Mornin,' All!

The grey blanket is firmly in place overhead with enough heft that I wondered if the sun had slept in this morning....  Karl, keep an eye on the sky... you're headed through some ugly stuff on the radar, and I've seen warnings of golf-ball sized hail.  Might be good to stop for lunch and a nap to let that stuff ease through! The heat wave arrives later this afternoon here in the northern mitten... extremes, warnings, watches, etc.  Fun, fun, fun.  NOT!!

Make it a great day, All, and stay safe!  I'm off to PT in a bit.  Thrill a minute around here....

Stay safe!

1:20 and just hit Indian River on I-75. Back into big bolts of lightning and rain we delayed by stopping to eat. The Doll is driving w/eyes wide open and vocal. Lots of fools haven't slowed down much. Posted 75 mph. Decided to scoot into a rest area until it slows.

We're still S of THE Bridge

Pulled of, rain so heavy we pulled off. Lightning and thunder like the finally of 1812 Overture.  An overwhelming lack of common sense from drivers that aren't even slowing down.
