I love that Leadville House kit, I have one I did in brick rather than wood siding.

Jaime, don't you have that kit in your to-build pile?

Hi Frank,

The streets are looking very good.  I also miss building structures.  I am almost done with the major track work on my layout and I am then going to build Shelby's Marine.  Thankfully, I do not have any deadlines to meet.

I am going to have to start installing switch machines and core wiring.

Steve, Thanks for stopping by. Yes, I have been busy pouring streets and the associated scenery around them. Here is a quick pic of one portion of Chester streets. The wife is the artist painting all the people. It keeps here busy.

While Tom ( ACL 1504) is teasing me with his wonderful repair / paint job on my locomotive, I needed to post a pic of some of the details I have been working on. We have all heard " the devil is in the details," and I am punishing myself by adding as many details that I can find in my storage cabinets. Today I spent most of the day painting 6 Sylvan cars. I have another 6 vehicles ( cars and trucks) are in the cue. My wife has been painting people for the town of Chester and other towns. I may have mentioned that I have two modules of structures for Chester so that I can fully detail each and place the completed module into the scene. I am now waiting on more people so i can finish pouring the streets, insert the modules, attach the working street lights and finally move out of Chester to one of the other towns along the right of way.

There is quite a bit of information required for the MR photo shoot. If you are writing the story, as I am, you have the main story and a couple of sidebar stories. There are several drawings that need to be done ie, track plan, track plan with structures, etc.. My  layout comprises of a three compressed levels in the form of a dogbone. The mainline, river route and in the dark are the names of the plan elements. Sounds confusing, but not all of it is visible at any given time, an the "in the dark" is totally hidden from one of the room to the other.

Anyway, it appears that the rain is finally stopping and i have run out of things to say for the moment. Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend.

Frank,

Wow, I love the trolley scene. It is just like a trolley to snake around and between the structures and bushes/scenery.

Absolutely fantastic my friend. Now, get back to work and send more photos. After all, you have all the time as everyday is Saturday. 8) 8)

What a gorgeous scene, if it weren't for the little person I would say this was a shot of real life.
I love photo's, don't we all.

I agree, I just love this photo of #163 coming around the bend! Makes want to put one on my layout, even if its static in a scene!

Morning Tom, Jan, Bob and Curt,

Thank you all for your kind words. Here is another shot of the same scene with more of the tree. I really like the tree. The tree is a sage bush, several of which I purchased years ago from a company no longer in business. I like the texture and color of the tree. I think it looks so real. I also notice that I need to add the wooden planks between the tracks to complete the scene. Details - details. 75 days and counting.

Have a great day.

Andy, Good Sagebrush can make wonderful trees. the problem is finding them. The company that I originally purchased trees from went out of business after both husband and wife died. They harvested sagebrush from a very dry area in Nevada. Most of the sage brush I have seen of recent is not of the same quality. Lucky you for having a good source.
