John.

If those cameras, which are REALLY cool, show up that much......... I don't want my on my track work.  I can only imagine what it would do going through a stub switch or a single point trolley switch.

Very cool however

thanx

Did you ever notice how many towns are named after their water towers ! ?

Frank,

Just getting caught up on all the threads. You have really been busy. I'm finally finished with the 1:1 stuff and am now back in the man cave removing more of the old layout.

I like the little camera and will have to check them out at BB!

I'll give you a call this weekend and get caught up on everything.

Jeff,

Thank you for you kind words. John's pictures look good, but nothing beats seeing it in person. I'll be back posting some more pictures soon.

Well, back to working on the layout. The picture is of an opening in a helix. The buildings are being staged in the opening. Aurora foundry is in the center of the helix. To the right of the foundry is a recent model called Ruby's Cafe. the building in the front center is my rendition of a SRMW kit Martin Machine that I did not buy when it first came out.  The track behind the foundry goes to the Steel Mill bringing in materials to feed the blast furnace. The track closest to the wall is the line going to the mill. The track joins the mainline in the lower left.

There is also a river running thru the scene feeding the water falls in the lower foreground. Lots of action. I have printed out the photo so I can draw over the print with a variety of scenic options. more to follow.

Here is my sketch of what I plan on doing in Essex Fells. As you can see, all the structures exist, so i have to build the substructure and scenery to complete the scene. more to follow.

Frank,

I like it, I likie alot!

Tom,

Glad you likey alot!!! I added another building in the scene this morning. Saturday I had some visitors to the railroad and one mentioned that she liked the number and density of structures on the layout. She thought that it really gave the sense of reality. Well, last night, during my sleep ( you probably have had this happen), I kept dreaming / thinking about this area and what building should be added. So-o-o, after getting into the train room, I added a small railside structure to the scene. Currently, everything is sitting on supports held up by clamps. I need to get a rigid structural support to this area. When the scenery is done, I think this area will look real good.

Greg,

Good to hear from you. Glad you like the foundry. To the right of that on the upper lever will all be a steel mill complex. If I can keep up my interest in this area, I might just continue into the mill area. Keep pushing me!!!!

Love the big pictures!!!
