Good Afternoon Bob,

Thank you for your kind words and I am glad you like the mine. Well, I have moved on to the town of Little Falls. A good part of the town is complete ( well almost) and the main street has to be added, some scenery added, vehicles, etc... Here is a close up of an RS2 leaving Little Falls siding heading to Great Notch, then onto Chester. Enjoy.

re posted the picture. I forgot to turn the headlights on. My Bad.
Frank is this the high crime district of the layout? Not only did they steal the windows out of that poor guys pickup, but they stole the lettering off the side of the locomotive! ;D  Seriously, It looks great!

Besides the windows and lettering , I noticed those buggers stole the coupler & pilot air hoses also. ha.  I hear what you're saying there Frank about the grabbing for the photo. ha.  T...

Good Morning Tom,

Yup, there are plenty of things that need to be added including painting the roof vents on the building. I'm going as fast as I can. The devil is in the details and I love details, but need more time. Oh well, a little progress every day. Thanks for the poke.

Frank,

Layout is looking better and better! Each additional "layer" is adding to the final product. It's going to take hours to photograph to really capture all the great scenery you have finished!
Marty

Good Morning Marty,

Thank you for your kind words. The real trick is going to be able to have something railroad related to photograph because there is a lot of details that are on the layout, but , depending how you look, you do not see a train. The more time Lou spends, the more I will like it. You are right, there is a lot of stuff on the railroad and I love details. Will keep everyone updated once the photo session takes place. Four months to go before the shoot.

You can't get away with anything around here Frank.....the denizens on this forum have eagle eyes.  ;D ;D ;D

Greg,

You have that right, but the devil is in the details, so I keep working on adding them. Stay tuned.

Mark,

Sorry for the delay in responding. Our internet provider has been providing minimum or no service recently. That's the bad news. The good news is I get spend more time working on the layout. Thank you for your kind words. Very much appreciated. So much to do before Lou arrives, but I am staying at it as much as possible. I'll be posting some more pics very soon to show my progress in the mine area. Glad you are following along.

Okay everyone,

While working on scenery of several areas, I have been looking at possible locations for the upcoming photo shoot. So here is a two photos. The third photo is an area in Essex Falls where there is a station and general store. In the background is a road leading to the mine. This photo shows the cardboard grid. Actually, the are has already been covered. A couple days are required for the sculptamold to dry and then final scenery will be applied. Why do I keep finding areas that need attention? Yes, I am having fun and enjoying having holiday guests coming over and seeing the layout progress. It is amazing how many people think that the railroad is a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood with track on it. Oh well, Progress continues.

Good Afternoon John. Thank you for your kind words. Not much being done today. Lots of other small household issues to deal with. Progress has been a bit slow. Hopefully things will get faster next week.

Is that Station with the copper green roof a kit or scratchbuilt.  Real eye candy.
