Good evening everyone,

Been working on a drop in module the past couple of days. Looks like I can install it tomorrow or Monday. Still working on Water. There are two more segments of a stream in Little Falls to pour. Perhaps tomorrow. Lot of yard work keeps getting in the way. Progress every day, just not taking pics. I did take a picture of the Erie S-4 highballing thru Chester. One beautiful engine. Another long day in the train room. Have a great Sunday.

Frank,
Looks like you have been extremely busy making great progress on the M &E RR and getting the layout ready for your photo shoot next month. The new photos that were posted are fantastic !

Frank,

I'm just getting caught up on your thread. You have done a wonderful job on the updates and scenery. The pictures are fantastic. You don't need the NMRA MM certificate, you are already a master modeler.

Beautiful work my friend, just wonderful.

Dave,

Picture #1 is the one for me. I now need to make a couple of changes. Thanks for the pic. Check my water photos soon.

Progress report.
On the center island, I have a lift out module for ease of access. I have been working on that portion of the layout for the past week or so. Anyway, it is now done and installed. Here are a couple of pics of the area and I will be taking some more later after I plant some more trees. The center aisle comprises of two towns; Ironia and Essex Falls. A large mine complex straddles the two towns. I have a small area on the mine area that is up next and should take about a day or so. There are telephone poles that need EZ line installed. So-o-o, I just might have everything done before Lou gets here. Have a great day.

Great scene Frank..... 8)

Is the whitish building in the foreground of the first photo one of your scratch builds or a kit?

Greg,

The building you mention was in RMC back in 1981. Wayne Weslowski made the drawing and a "O" scale model of the building. It t was a foundry in Aurora, Illinois. I kept the article and then made the model twice, once for my neighbor and one for me. So, yes it is scratch built from the drawings in RMC. Glad you like it.

Small world.....I lived in Aurora for 10 of the coldest months of my young life in the 5th grade. Neat town, but the weather was worse than Jersey.  :D

John,

Thanks for stopping by. Yes, I have been quite busy since you visit. How time flies when you are having fun. Another couple weeks of details on the layout, complete the layout drawings and then a major clean up. I am going to have a completion party when this all done. Well actually, I probably have another four years to finish the rest of the railroad. The remaining area will be a large steel mill complex and a couple of large cities, back to back. Some of the structures are under the current layout, others are in boxes and the rest are still in my mind and will be designed and scratchbuilt.

John and all those that follow.

Okay, it is late in the day and my body says its time to call it a night. Thought I would share a couple photos of some of today's work on the Morristown & Erie Railroad - Western Division. Another couple of days of pouring water. One last little area to go and then water can be checked off the list. I was stringing telephone line as well today. Pics tomorrow, maybe. In the meantime, here are a few pics for the day.
