Good Morning Jerry. Thank you for your kind words. Glad you are enjoying my thread. Still quite a bit of way to go. The wife keep talking about downsizing and i keep telling her I want to finish the layout. I have been stashing 0n30 items away for my next layout.

FYI, I used to spend a lot of time in Toms River. I lived in Morristown and had relatives that lived on hwy 37 in an old converted hot dog stand. don't know if it is still there. That was a long time ago. Been out here in Arizona for over 40 years and love it.

Hope you enjoy your tour thru my thread. If you see anything you would like to see more of, let me know.

Lynn,

thank you for your kind words and glad you enjoyed the visit. As you can tell, i love structures. There a lot of scratchbuilt structures on the layout. I am currently working on another scratchbuilt structure for a friend. If you see anything you like and want more pics of the scene, let me know.

Good morning Jim,

thank you for your kind words. Progress is being made every day, but there is quite a bit to complete. The big steel mill facility is on the horizon. Stay tuned.

Thanks Frank I will let you know, I've only had a chance to glance through it but starting again, some of your construction techniques are very interesting.
Funny you speak about downsizing, a couple years ago I had expanded my layout into a second room and the wife and I spoke about downsizing and me being always proready for what may be coming along with other things "I thought" I disliked about my layout  I took down the layout and in fact gave away most of my rather large dioramma's. Long story short I've started my new layout starting in the smaller room and the second room is now my structure building room. Funniest thing when I did the plan and built the benchwork I ended up with the same concept as the other layout, so at 57 I start again. Hope I didn't bore you with that. :-[

Good afternoon / evening fellow modelers,

I got an email from Tom Boyd earlier mentioning that he received a notification from Kalmbach publishing for the 2019 Great Model Railroads issue coming out in the fall. Tom commented that one of the pictures is from a fellow modeler of the forum. He was right - it is mine. WOW,  what a surprise. I ordered 12 copies. The picture of the layout shows Yakima Apples and a CNW GP7. Of course I model the ERIE, but somehow that engine got in there. It's on loan!!! So buy lots of issues!

John,

Thank you for your kind words and your guidance with trees. Please let Wayne that I have a book for him to keep. It was great to have you both help with the deciduous trees on my layout. there is still another unopened box below the layout. The bad thing about the announcement is now we have to wait six months to see the finished article. The good news I get to see the real thing every day.

Thanks for all your hlp.

Congratulation, Frank!

James,

thank you for visiting my layout several years ago. As you will see in the article, a lot has changed since then. I am getting a lot of pressure from the boss to finish the layout so we can downsize. I'm dragging my feet. Thanks for stopping by.
