I cut all the pieces for the bents before I started on them. The bent's go together almost like Lincoln logs.

I am not the fastest at times, so I have only finished two bents as of now. I hope to get the others done soon. I'm sure Mike will jump in soon with his progress.

The Curmudgeon is just a little PESSed off- he is suffering from a little "Post Expo Stress Syndrome", but he will be back at the kitchen counter modeling today and will have an update tomorrow.

I've been moving right along with my build. Everything really goes together great with the excellent instructions Brett provides. Next up was cutting 23 spacers. They are important to keep square as they hold all the bents together. There is a great jig that is in the kit to test fit each one. I actually checked mine a few times.

I laid out the templates and test fit everything before any glue was applied. I used double sided tape to hold it all down.

While everything was laid out I saw an issue with one of the bent legs. "A" had a support brace that was to short. Bill posted that on his build tread so I made sure to check mine.

Once everything looked ok it was time to glue the bents together. It all lines up great with the templates underneath.

At this point you have to work the ore chute into the bents. I know it want be seen but I wanted to really add some texture and weathering to mine. This is several layers and washes to build up to a texture I was happy with. Rust can be an art to itself.
