Hi Guys:

the main building is finished. Here's a few photos. The metal casting on the right side of the roof is made up of two separate castings. Rather interesting. Doug does have an imagination.

So yesterday I said to myself - great Karl is starting another build thread. And today your done!  Are you running a 24 hour a day operation there.  Looks great - even better when the paint gets dry. ;D  I just don't know how you do such great work so fast.

Hi John:

Thanks for the compliment. It's not done. That's only the main building. It's a whole diorama. I have a ways to go yet.

This photo is also from Doug's Site.

Karl...........

This may fall into a list of superlatives but..........

This is one of your more fun builds.

Thanx

Did you ever notice how many towns are named after their water towers ! ?

Hi guys:

Doug really liked the gravel roof. He asked how I did it. I'm also going to post the instructions here.

Put the black paint on fairly thick. Make sure it stays nice and wet. Pour on the dirt and cover roof completely. Turn building and pour off excess onto a paper towel and put it back into the dirt container. It's to expensive to waste. Let dry do not touch.

Here's a photo of the materials.

Hi Guys:

Ok now the main building is really finished. I think. Added roof over retail entrance, 2 lights on the wall and a sign in the garage door window.  Also had to remove and change the sign where the upper light is
