one of the main focal points is going to be my light house. every bay area has them and with my layouts mains area being a bay scene this is one that I have been waiting to build. I have looked around for a good bit of time and decided to go with the rocky point light house from laser art. I started out with a wash of a&i  on everything  on the main building I used a sponged on a layer if hudson red and all the trim I used american acrylic wash white

I built it in N Scale...one of my favorite kits. Careful with the roof details, they're delicate (probably more so in N).

Update
So after the Hudson red dried i decided to also add a light wash of Crimson red calligraphy ink wich gave a nice 2 tone red wich looks faded. I did the same in white for the trim. Braced the walls and painted inside black.
